We arrived about 30 min before closing time. I ordered the Zax Signature Chicken meal and my wife ordered the Signature Club. My... wife's fries were cold, and there was no cheese on her sandwich. Ate there for lunch today, 11/6. Was extremely dissatisfied with my meal. First the person taking my order said they no longer... have 1000 island dressing. I will NOT return until they have 1000 island dressing. I have never had a salad that was that badfrom this Zaby?s. The tomatoes were too ripe, they were mushy. Not the best food we have ever eaten, but was suitable for a quick stop on a road trip. We dined in and were one of three tables... with people inside the restaurant. Chicken tenders and sandwich had good sauces, and the fries were seasoned well. Good serviceby both the cashier, and other random employees throughout the restaurant. While traveling through Smithfield I stopped off at Zaxby's. I have had cheddar bites before but the aptly named Zappetizer was... remarkably tasty. Not long after came my boneless buffalo wings. The chicken was hot and fresh and each bite was tender andjuicy. It had a fresh-out-of-oven taste, unlike chicken you might get from some other restaurants that are frozen and reheated.Kelly and her staff managed to make my already affordable meal worth every penny. You can't beat prompt and fresh. Also, thedining area is immaculately tidy. it was nice to sit down and not have gum on my seat or have to worry about if the place wasrecently disinfected. This is one of my favorite places to go while in Smithfield. Every time there is a perfect execution of great food and amazing... service. The environment is clean and presentable and if you fancy a soft drink you don't have to play roulette like with manyrestaurants in North Carolina. It is hard to find a well maintained soft drink fountain, but every visit, the drinks and mostimportantly the food is that of a well cared for restaurant. Don't believe me though, try it for yourself. Another wonderfulfeature is this restaurant is owned by a person, not only can you see gives back to the community when you look at the decor,but will many times be helping to prepair the food behind the the counter and actively participating in working with employees. This store is the best in the world! I am in pharmaceutical sales and often use this Zaxby's for my caterings at provider... offices. The whole team in Smithfield is absolutely fantastic and would totally recommend stopping by for a great lunch ordinner. You will be glad you did! Read more

Good food! Just be aware that they may forget your straws, forks or napkins. They didn't give us any or offer any. Kind rough... driving with a full drink and no straw and no napkins to clean up the mess. Read more

They made sure we were good by coming over to the table checking on us for anything that we may have needed. That was a definite... plus. To top it off, it's a great family friendly atmosphere. We don't have one in our area so stopping here was a must. Lovethat chicken from Zaxby's! Chicken tenders never tasted so good. I rarely get a chance to enjoy fried pickles but I wasn't asimpressed as the other options so I'd pass on those the next time. They looked better than they tasted.
