Was not happy at all!!! when we arrived we was bombarded by a gentleman, which he was nice. But keep on reading the menu over... and over. As I was trying. To look over there menu just to see what they had. Since this was our first time there. He made usfeel like he rushing Us to make a decision. As we order I expressed what I would like to order for. My kids 6 and 4 when ringingup order he tried to ring up and. Adult plate. Which all common sense known that was why to much food for them. the orderingand ringing process he added additional items that I thought was with the plate. I just feel maybe If I had time to look at themenu I would have acknowledged what came with what we was ordering. The food has no flavor and the we ended spending over $85. Spoken as a native Texan, this place is legit. Delicious fresh authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend the steak asada tacos.... Fresh tasty chips and salsas. It was expensive for what was very received. Our requested plates were all combined, the limes were old and oxidized. Many of... the tacos were very light on the meat , the tortillas were soggy and the al pastor was definitely not cooked traditionally (itwas very soupy). The cucumber lemonade was very watered down. This was my first time to La Unica. I am usually pretty picky when I try a restaurant for the first time, and if I'm not... impressed, I won't return. That is not the case with La Unica. Here I was greeted enthusiastically by who I assume is the owneror manager. He gave a run down of the menu, and then you order right there before heading to your seat. The food came out prettyquick and was quite good. Prices are reasonable. When leaving the same man asks how everything was and bids farewellenthusiastically. I would definitely return to La Unica and would recommend it to my friends and family. Read more
