While camping at Nolin Lake State Park and visiting Mammoth Cave, we were looking for places to visit/eat in the area. We... located a town called "Pig" and there was no way we weren't going to check it out. We researched the area online before goingand found pretty much the only place to eat in the town and it was called "Porky Pig Diner". We had to check it out, especiallyafter the great reviews. We went after working up a hunger from the Mammoth Cave tour, it was a late lunch/early dinner timeframe so the diner was pretty empty, with the exceptions of those coming for take out orders. I ordered the cheeseburger withfries and my wife ordered the hamburger with onion rings. The food came pretty quick and it was absolutely delicious, every bitof it. We were impressed! I absolutely love little places like this. Out of the way, mom and pop sort of businesses. Dining room is way bigger than the... outside implies. Unless directed otherwise, grab a seat/table when you walk in. Our waiter was easily old enough to be my dad,and treated us like family. He loves to chat, so you?ve been warned. Ask what the specials are. He did tell us their roast beefManhattan was a popular choice but that you couldn?t go wrong with the fish. My buddy and I opted for the catfish plate andwere blown away by how yummy it was. Huge portions too! They dry roll the fish in seasonings and likely some sort of corn meal.Not greasy at all! So freaking good!! Our plates came with a helping of fries and bowl of slaw. But we both made sure to finishour catfish, so the fries and slaw didn?t get finished. Oh and hush puppies too. Low price for high quality food and large portions. Went in as a group of 8 and didn?t have to wait very long for food and... everyone thought their meals were delicious. Friendly staff. Went after going to mammoth cave. Only suggestion is they cleantheir air system vents as the condensation was dripping on some of the tables. Read more

Went to visit Mammoth cave. After the tour, we stopped by on this little diner. Buffett style for $12.99 + drinks and desserts.... Comfort foods that you can eat everyday. Highly recommended stop from Mammoth which is only 8 miles away. Very friendly peopleeven the other diners stopped to greet and talk to you. Read more
