This review is strictly for customer service and not the quality of the Dunkin Donut products. I just returned (5/1/21) from... the Dunkin Donuts located at 430 N. Country Road in St. James, NY after being verbally abused by one of the elderly femaleworkers in the store. (I prefaced elderly because I overheard her mention to another customer that her granddaughter was 4 yearsold.) I bought a gift card to mail away to my niece as a small birthday treat. After paying via credit card, I asked for areceipt. Then I was informed that I could not get one because the manager was not present in the store at this particular time(Saturday close to noon) and there was no paper in the cash register receipt. I tried to explain to the cashier that I needed areceipt because I had an issue in the past where a gift card did not work (Not from DD, but another establishment.) and I wasmailing this away to another state. She said, "Oh, so you do not want it?" I said, no I just need a receipt. She said, I can'thelp you goodbye. I responded by saying, okay then I guess I will have to give a call. Her demeanor instantly changed and shebecame snippy. I said, "You don't have to get nasty." She responded, "Know, you're the one who is nasty." As I was walking awayshe started cursing. I should have ignored it, but I questioned, "Now you are cursing at me?" The other woman who was workingat that time, shooed the irate worker towards the back of the store. I glanced back and she screamed, ?GET THE F@#K OUT OF THESTORE!? (BTW- There were 3 other patrons in the store during this time. So this outburst was very unprofessional and uncalledfor.) The gentleman that was standing behind me responded, not to my defense or hers, but said, ?I just lost my appetite.? Iwas taken back by the whole scenario. The worker was so Nice. I picked up coffee when I worked my medic shift and she tried to give me free coffee so instead I left... her a good tip and a donation in the box. Read more
It was good. Just a typical Dunkin. Got a frozen coffee, no complaints was made just fine. Staff was a bunch of teenage girls,... no complaints about them either. Sorry I don't know much to say because it's literally like every other Dunkin you go into lol Read more
This Dunkin Donuts also has Baskin Robbins inside. It is larger inside than most stores, clean and has a restroom. Ordered ice... cream and was a little disappointed there wasn't more ice cream flavors to choose from and some of the ice cream did not havedescriptions which made it hard to know the actual flavor. I spoke to a lovely woman who i presume by accent might be Hispanic or Indian who was very helpful on the phone about pricing... after the incident. Its Monday December 5th. The other employee who is (typical Long Island female) who thinks they can speak tomen anyway they chose. They forget those men have wives!!! We are semi retired and work remotely as consultants from our homein the area. We understand coffee like everything is affected by inflation right now - but to tell my husband who is a verynice, patient man that he doesn't know what he is talking about, is losing a customer! We have never paid more than $18 dollarsfor 3 bags and when the total came to $24 & change the woman behind the counter basically called my husband a LIAR when he askedwhen the price went up and that they have always charged $24 for 3 bags of coffee. Is she serious??? We buy lots of productsfrom this DD location. Personally, we have never been that impressed by the service as they hire young kids with no customerservice exp. but this is where we draw the line!!!
