Stopped for a quick bite on our way to VA and was very impressed with both the food and atmosphere. We were seated in the dining... room, next to the fireplace and a beautiful Christmas tree - very relaxing and comfortable. Food was really good, came outtimely and server was pleasant and courteous. Glad we stopped here, will stop by again as it is the halfway point of ourfrequent trips back and forth between NY and VA. Read more
Always a good meal here. I had the open face hot roast beef sandwich. Had at least four nice slices (not razor thin either) of... eye round with a generous helping of homemade mashed potatoes with plenty of gravy. Yum! Wife had the beef stir fry. Lots ofstrips of beef tips with plenty of rice a d stir fry veggies. Excellent. Read more
This place feels like eating water hole for nursing home customers. Nothing against our beautiful seniors. But the food tastes... like the feel of the place tasteless, bland,and with no good presentation????????????. Maybe if they had a better cook and moreof a spunkier staff.Then maybe this place could really be a good place to recommend to people. We're in town visiting family & they recommended we come here. I had breakfast and my husband had lunch. My corned beef hash was... the best I've ever had. His onion rings were amazing and his Reuben was terrific, too. Read more
My brother and I stopped in for breakfast. He had the chicken fried steak with potatoes I had a western omelette with egg... beaters and potatoes. The service was great the food was great we had a nice time early in the morning. Read more
Good homemade food. Salisbury steak and cod specials were good, especially the first one, and sides were good as well. And the... corn muffin! Specialty dishes are served right away!!! Read more
Easy access off main road. I enjoyed the cheese omelet w/home fries, biscuit was cold. Omelet could have been more "filling". My... guest had beef sirloin with gravy fries, with a side of collard greens. Beef sirloin was tender, collard greens had pork inthem so we had to eliminate eating those. Food took about 8 min longer to come out than it should have. Otherwise, no complaintsabout this diner. Waitress was great, welcoming & very proficient. Read more
