Terrible food and extremely overpriced!!! We went to dinner (3 of us). I was expecting good Alaskan seafood. I ordered the... salmon, my son Ordered the halibut. The food was absolutely terrible!! My salmon was dry and over cooked, was supposed to be?blackened. But had little to no seasoning. and no taste. The green beans tasted like frozen green beans that were boiled inwater?. No seasoning. The ?mashed potatoes? were not mashed potatoes, but baked potatoes? served cold with cold cheese that hadonce been melted. This food was cafeteria food at best. Our bill was $170.00. For 3 of us. I was furious. I did not complain,we had been fishing f all day and were starved. Was the worse food I?ve ever had.. DO NOT EAT HERE !! Read more

The best table service experienced thus far [8yrs] on the peninsula. Our server was extremely aware of her tables. We never... waited for anything but our food to be cooked. Breakfast was the choice of the day. Eggs & hashbrowns were cooked really well!Definitely excited because that's hard to come by at most local [Breakfast] restaurants. Pancakes were light, fluffy &delicious ???? [same as eggs, hashbrowns] One complaint: biscuits & gravy ???? This particular dish is one of my favorites at anyrestaurant, always wanting to try.. This order, however, was absolutely horrible. Have zero idea of what type of gravy wasattempted, but failure ???? very disappointed, because I was looking forward to that dish! We left satisfied, full bellies, &very appreciative of the service we received ????. Definitely will be back try different dishes, just not the biscuits & gravy.???? Read more

The meal was an embarrassment. It was a seafood boil and we were told there was a half pound each of shrimp, king crab, clams... plus other foods in a low country boil. Not true. The quality was horrible. Alaska has awesome and distinctive shrimp. Thesewere not Alaska shrimp, meaning they came from the freezer truck. The crab was mostly tasteless and tiny pieces. The clams werethe smallest I?ve ever seen (and in my opinion we?re actually tiny mussels) and not all were even open, meaning they were bad -yet served anyway. The corn was tough, watery, and inedible- even though well priced fresh corn is now in the supermarkets -again our served corn came from the freezer truck. There was no side salad, no bread, and the condiments did not include meltedbutter, although we were given wrapped butter pats for ?dipping?. The ambiance was nothing like the online photos. The menu didnot resemble the one advertised. The server couldn?t even pronounce the types of wine and knew nothing about items on the menu. When we told her the food wasn?t even average she told us other things on the menu looked amazing and offered dessert. Not anacceptable response. Don?t bother going here. We saw other plates go by to other tables. Nothing looked especially good, letalone amazing. It comes nowhere near the hype. It isn?t worth your time, let alone your money. Alaska is home to the bestseafood around - but this restaurant with foods off the freezer truck could be anywhere. And it still wouldn?t be worthit. Reply : you were misinformed. We left at least half of the tiny mussels, crab, almost all of the soggy corn and all of thepotatoes. There were three slices of sausage which we ate. While the shrimp weren?t Alaskan they were ok so we ate the few thatwere in the dish. If that was an example, we didn?t want anything else from the kitchen. So we told our server, paid, and left. Me and my dad went to get food and decided to eat here. The servers were nice but had to wait 45 minutes to get two burgers and... alfredo.. the homemade bread was thicker than the amount of toppings on the burger itself and you could taste the bread morethan the burger. The bill was big compared to what we got. I personally work at a restaurant and the bill would be under $60 forwhat we got but we ended up paying $97 Read more

Popped in unexpected and Vern the owner greeted and seated us. Great conversation, he really cared about getting to know his... customers. Tara is a sweet waitress and took special care with us. My date ordered get favorite, Seafood Fettuccini, and I hadSeafood Stir-fry. The shrimp are huge firm and tasty. Abundant salmon and my dates all time Beaty scallops, all fine well andserved hot. Did I mention their own fresh baked bread, so good. Come by and get caught up in The Catch. Read more

Ok I looked at the reviews and saw that the restaurant has made a bunch of changes over the past few months, so we decided to... give them a shot! I am so glad we did! We went big and got an amazing ribeye steak! I didn?t want the potato (my hubby got apotato) but let me just say that the green beans were spot in!!! The steak was tender and the best I?ve had in Kenai/Soldotnaarea so far!! We will definitely be back!! My compliments to the chef! Read more
