Vanilla, chocolate, or swirl soft serve . Simple and yummy enough on a hot summer day. What I didn't like is that if you want a... regular size cone you have to pay more. Huh?? It's like they saw mini cones at Costco and then got the idea to buy them andcharge us regular price but charge higher for a normal size one. Stupid. Read more

After Telling the line that they closed at 10 PM they closed early and slammed the window in our face so Disrespectfully.... Children in line only, only three people left to serve and close minutes early and closed early in the children?s faces. OnFourth of July this is so sad. This place needs a revamp in management. Ruined a beautiful night for many families. Read more

Very cute ice cream shop located directly on the water. The service was quick and the folks working there were kind. I got the... vanilla with the butterscotch hard shell with a cup of sprinkles for dipping. Don't typically eat soft serve, but it was verytasty. There is lots of free parking, which was nice and areas to sit near the shop. Read more

Positioned ideally just off to the start of the boardwalk, the location of the Cone Island Ice Cream Shoppe makes one imagine... that the founder would have walked along the pier on a warm day with their eyes closed some years ago and when the moment thatthe taste for ice cream developed they opened them and built the ice cream shack in that very spot. Overcoming the choiceparalysis that many waterfront stores cause, Cone Island offers only three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, or a swirl of the two -all with or without sprinkles. Not only does this simplicity make it easier for the customer to make a decision without wadingthrough dozens of experimental flavors, it also goes a long way to keep lines short and movement fast - all of which areimportant when attempting to manage drips of sticky ice cream making their way down your fingers and impatient children tug atyour sleeves. Reasonably priced, Cone Island Ice Cream Shoppe remains competitive with the Ice Cream Place across the streetand refuses to take advantage of families and tourists to the area. Portions are fair and sized almost in consideration of thesun that would surely beat down and melt any larger scoops. Even though one of the primary downsides of the seasonal store isthat it becomes impossible to go down to the island without being tempted by a cone of soft serve, I would be pleased torecommend the store to anyone visiting the area looking to savor the view of the river. The young man working there is very polite, helpful and patient. I ordered a medium cone and it was plenty for me. To my... surprise, my dog who loves ice cream wasn't interested. The ice cream was good, not as creamy and seemed more icy. It isinexpensive. $3 for the medium plus $1 tip. I enjoyed it. Read more
