Place has got a 50's feel to it. Stopped in after a Bluegrass festival at Nelson's, very busy place for a small restaurant. So... we had a good wait to get our food and drinks refilled. Staff was nice, but they were overwhelmed with the amount of people whoneeded served. Food was delicious and the portions were filling. I'd stop in here again on my travels. Read more

Place is a bit on the small space and if you're a bit more on the husky size be prepared to sit at the counter as there isn't... much room in the booths. Personally I don't mind the size as it makes the place feel more down to earth and homey. The foodmore than makes up for anything negative I could potentially say, best sausage gravy and biscuits I've ever had. Read more

Oh my...what a beautiful and tasty experience! We're visiting from Virginia, for the weekend and searched "best breakfast in... Solon" & this diner came up! We had the specials - pesto omelet - 2 orders of potato Pancakes - cheesy eggs over gritsw/tomato. Wow! Only recommendation is for you to sit at the counter when you visit. The cooks were super efficient. Be sure totip them separately than the waitstaff...they're gifted. Coffee was delicious and the staff were so friendly. We even met abeliever there and confirmed that God's spirit is everywhere!! Read more

I grew up in the area and never heard of this place! It's been around for 60 years and I drove by it hundreds of times not... realizing what it was. It is hidden but what a gem! This is what I would call a classic vintage diner: small, not perfect, kindaworn but full of character! I tried their burger and fries and it was great. The next morning I took my wife and she got theeggs benedict and I got more of a traditional breakfast and it was fantastic and full of flavor. If there ever was a film crewwanting that look and atmosphere, this is it. Small, cozy and great food. I will be coming here more often. Read more

Service was ok, but did not get what I ordered. Prices have changed and so has the quality. The burger was not seasoned and... flavorless. Overall; over priced and very underwhelming. Sad, I had hoped for better from a long standing locally operatedrestaurant. Read more

I've loved coming to Jim's since I was in high school. It's a Solon institution. The Herb Nelson has always been my favorite. I... decided to try the Ultimate Herb this time. It was delicious, but I think I prefer the regular because I didn't love thetomatoes/green peppers in it. My husband and I also got the Country Benedict and the Bananas Foster French Toast. Both weredelicious. The Bananas Foster French Toast is no longer on the menu, but they still made it for us. It's a popular place, soexpect a bit of a wait on the weekends. They move fast though, so it doesn't usually take too long. My biggest surprise thisvisit is that they now accept credit card. It used to be cash only. I try to come here every time I'm in town visiting myparents because I love it. Read more
