My wife and i ordered the burgers and we were amazed by their size! Well worth the price. The beer was fantastic coming from... Amador brewing Co. Waitress was awesome and polite. This place is a hidden gem in the moutains the drive is long to get therethough. If you come here be prepared to eat hearty as the portion sizes here are no joke! Dessert was fantastic! Read more
We had the best dinner last night at the Gold Vine! We hadn't been there in a very long time, (we don't live that close) and had... been to apple hill, then scooted over to the other side of hwy 50 to Fairplay and Somerset for some wine tasting. We ended ourday at about 4:30 pm at the GV Bistro for dinner. We asked our server/cook/owner? what she recommended and she stated theMoroccan Shortrib. Comes on a bed of couscous, with out of this world sauce! Honestly it was one of the best meals out thatwe've had lately! The short rib was tender, and not fatty at all. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, it?s upscale dining without the pretentious atmosphere. Serving... sizes are generous and the dishes are very flavorful. I definitely recommend the Grilled Artichoke appetizer and the BourbonCaramel Bread Pudding. The Clam Chowder, the Cabernet Beef Tips, and the Scallops Risotto were great as well. This place is agem! They two ladies that work and own the established are very sweet and welcoming. The owner/cook actually came out of the kitchen... and spoke to us. The food was excellent and cooked as requested. Great place to eat with the family. Read more
