OMG Same EXACT thing here! AND $10 more for same order months ago! I know prices went up but it?s not justified when service &... I lived around a lot of Portagese restaurants. I have to say this place Horrible food. I order out to go so I didn't dine inside... for inside dining review. My rice was very dry no flavor. I ordered a whole chicken and beef ribs combo as someone left a reviewbecause supposedly feeds a family of 4, so I went by that. Horrible to my surprise I paid 38 bucks but 3% which was 40.09because I use my credit card. Only to get half a chicken only 4 little pieces and 2 beef ribs. Really not coming back here frieswas soggy and though the chicken was okay the beef ribs had no flavor. Not for a family of 4 who loves meat. It?s summer and one cannot help but develop a for barbecue. My part of town is not really known for it and I have had rhe... pleasure of trying texas barbecue, so you might say I suffer from high expectations. Nonetheless, I decide to venture outside mycounty and come across Hamilton Barbecue. Hamilton Barbecue is a portuguese style barbecue so I am not expecting ot to tastelike Texas. First impressions are the place has a neighborhood feel, it has a great corner location with parking and as I walkin I see people either picking up lunch orders or coming in for lunch. A great sign that this place could be good. I order acombo of beef ribs and short rins. The order comes with yellow rice, which I think the same rice they use for paella, you canchoose a sidw dish of fries, beans, or plantain. I chose plantain. For dessert, I noticed a statement on their menu that saysthat desserts are home made, so i went with the flan. I mean whi doesent like flan? I liked the barbecue flavor, it wasntoverpowering but it was there. The meat was good but a little more effort needed im chewing simce I am used to the slow smokingprocess of Texas barbecue which makes the mest fall of the bone.
