I walked in and ordered takeout. I was impressed with how fast they made my order. I think I only waited 15 minutes! And they... were busy too. I ordered the Naruto roll, tuna and mango roll, the lobster rolled in seared tuna (appetizer) and two pieces ofuni (sea urchin) sushi. I was surprised to see uni on the menu because it is such a delicacy! Everything was delicious except Iwas a little underwhelmed by the lobster wrapped in tuna. The portion of lobster was pretty small and it wasn’t veryflavorful. I would definitely order the sushi again but change the appetizer up. Overall, a really great spot. Read more
The sashimi was decent but cut too thin. For fish that's tough to chew, it may make sense to go for thin slices. But I... personally like some variety in texture. For nigiri, the rice part was strongly seasoned, perhaps too much that I didn't getmuch flavor from the fish. Ramen tastes really good. Better than the fish. The flavor I got is burned garlic. Honestly, THE BEST SUSHI IN THE AREA. We have tried so many sushi restaurants around trying to find one that would actually make... us happy and we found it! This became our sushi go to place, portions are big and them fish is very fresh! They have very uniquedelicious rolls as well as the classics. Ordered pickup. Portions for sushi were a ripoff. Other restaurants usually pack 8 pieces filling up 2 rows each with wasabi on... the side. salmon had no taste. Every sushi half was filled with avocado. Shrimp tempura, only 3 pieces, probably didn't evenuse a whole shrimp. Kani and katsu were ok. But the special Tiger Eye roll, supposed to include salmon... Sakana has really good, solid sushi. I love all of the variety of rolls that they have and they also have ramen. I really liked... their Sushi Sandwich, it's a unique take on a traditional roll. The Shiitake bao buns are really good as well, the sauce thatthey used on them! While the sushi is great, this is seriously such a surprising hidden gem for ramen. I normally don't getramen for takeout but was really craving it and OMG their chashu pork is probably the best I've ever had in my life. It's soperfectly tender, almost like cotton candy. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen which is typically my favorite and I just couldn't believehow amazing it was. The broth is so rich and flavorful and I'm definitely adding some extra chashu next time I order it! Read more
