The website says they deliver within 3 mi, I?m only 2.5 mi away and they don?t deliver. (From the website) Food tastes horrible... as the rice tastes hard like little pebbles. And it didn?t taste anything like ginger rice. The meat was okay, and the Thai icetea was okay too. Mango sticky rice was below average. I've been meaning to try this place for a while and was pleasantly surprised! There were some lackluster reviews closer to when... Hen opened but based on my experience I think they've improved their food since then. I got the spicy crispy chicken dish whichcomes with seasoned rice, cucumber, sauce, and daikon soup. The chicken was not particularly crispy or spicy but it wasdelicious -- super tender and well-marinated with a nice tang from the outside seasoning. The rice was also good and having abite with the chicken, rice, and soup was just heavenly and comforting. The soup is steaming and delicious. Honestly eachcomponent tasted great on its own and together it was everything I could ask for in a meal. I did not have any of the saucebecause it was too sweet for me, but in my opinion you don't need it because of all of the flavors from the rest of the dish. Iwould want to have more than 3 slices of cucumbers. It is slightly pricey -- the spicy chicken is $12.95 and with tax and tip Ipaid closer to $16. The portion size is reasonable but not so generous. Hen Chicken Rice is the best meal of chicken rice that I ever have in Boston. Actually It?s taste similar to Chicken rice in... Thailand. I am usually in the mood for just some good chicken and rice. Nothing more and nothing less. After some digging, I found hen,... which has some of the best chicken and rice I have had. They stick to a small but masterful menu. Spicy fried chicken and rice- 5/5. With the sauce, this is absolutely amazing and really carries the score. Regular chicken and rice (not fried) - 3/5. The chicken was nice and crispy, great taste & on the plus side you can also... order it with brown rice, which was the main reason I went In To try this place. Different types of dishes are available forthose who want either crispy or non crispy chicken. The service was quick & friendly. Hen Chicken Rice is a new establishment serving Khao Man Gai (chicken rice) which is a popular Thai street food. I've been... following them on Instagram since they started the renovation process, and now that I've visited, I can say that I am veryimpressed! The menu has choices for the chicken to be boiled, crispy or a mix of both. All of their entrees come with sauces onthe side and soup. Their sauces are delicious and perfectly complement the chicken. My favorite was "The Crispy" which pairedwith this red spicy/sweet sauce. Besides from chicken, I also loved their mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea. Great food at good price point. Order taker was quite nice + helpful! Food was out in <5 minutes. They do what they do really... well and you get exactly what you?re expecting. The original was delicious :) and nice theres options to serve a spectrum ofmoods 1 star = never go back 2 star = would go if a friend wanted to 3 star = would go myself if it hit the particular cravingi wanted.
