Pretty broad seating area offering outdoor seating as well. The fried chicken is the star of this place. So so so good! The... cornbread was also delicious with just a hunt of sweetness. Large restaurant serving southern US food. We found the menu to be on the smaller side, and the prices to be above what we... expected. For the food, the burger was underwhelming and I would not order it again, as it clearly lacked taste. Ribs (10/10) - super flavorful but not too salty, meat is tender, and bones easily fall off…if you ever go this place, have totry this ribs!!! ? Half Roasted Chicken (10/10) Super tender! My roommate got their chicken and waffles and it was great. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and I would rate it a 3/5. Wish... it had more substance than just a bun, aioli and chicken. Good but not exceptional. Their potato salad was OK. The service wasOK. Read more
It's a NO for me. I'M giving 3 stars because the atmosphere, service and ribs were good. The ribs were tender, falling off the... bone with the right amount of sauce....everything else ????. We ordered the nashville hot chicken and thought we were beingpranked...it's waaay too hot inedible. The waitress was great, came and took them away and replaced them with some regular friedchicken. Too much breading but very little flavor. The potato salad was big hard chunks, in some sort of dressing-terrible. Themac and cheese was ok, would have been better without the breadcrumbs. Ordered the Mason Burger, the Chicken & Waffles, and the grilled cornbread. The cornbread and accompaniments (jam and honey... butter) were delicious. The mason burger was pretty good, however it was a bit overcooked and I was never asked by the serverhow I wanted it cooked. The chicken & waffles were very tasty. Oh, my southern genius friends! It was an incredible meal, drinks and desserts. My biggest issue was what to order because... everything on the menu looked mouth watering delicious. It was my son's birthday so naturally we had to toast. First we ordereddrinks - he had a peach drink and I got a mango one (sorry, forgot the names. Mine was listed on the menu). Lord in heaven, Iknew I was in for something spectacular since the drinks were phenomenal. My son went for the catfish and I chose alligatortacos along with a side of greens and cornbread. Holy moley!! The food! The tacos were incredible. I wanted something differentand gater was greater! I've had catfish before and did taste it. Incredible all around. The collard greens in applewood baconand cornbread with maple butter, really? Can I just lick the butter out of the container please! So tasty. On to dessert!!!!!Please forgive me, we ordered 4, YES 4, pieces of those miraculous pie slices! The key lime pie can't be compared to any otherI've had even in the Keys! The blueberry were chuck full if berry goodness as was the peach. The pecan pie was better than anyother pecan pie I've had in any restaurant. My Aunt from down south knows pecan pie from an ages old family recipe handed downfrom generations back before corn syrup was used and this was very close to hers. She would have been proud. The sign of a greatrestaurant is the menu and the less the food selection, the better the food. Chef's can concentrate on give you the absolutebest gastronomical experience.
