I feel like this place has everything it needs to be great- it just needs a few tweaks. The service was good; our server was... attentive, friendly, and helped us select a wine to go with our meal. The drink menu was creative and definitely pushed theboundaries of what we thought a cocktail could be. The only hiccup was with the food. Some dishes, like the tea rubbed salmonand the tagine bean dip, were absolutely fantastic. Others, like the burrata and the silken tofu, were so salty they wereinedible. Great dinner here tonight. Loved the beaujolais I had and our server was great about recommendations for wine. we tried the bean... dip, Sunchoke doughnuts, tuna crudo, manchego biscuit, chocolate dessert and mochi panna cotta. The food, wine and cocktails at spoke wine bar are incredible! Our favorite small plates were the bean dip, the tuna crudo and... the cheese plate. The folks behind the bar can make any fabulous cocktail you want. We also asked for a wine suggestion andloved it. Be sure to get a reservation because it’s always packed. We will definitely be back! Many delicious small plates with interesting taste combinations. Some dishes had a warm component and a cold component -- but... the cold component would have been better at room temperature rather than refrigerator temperature. For a wine bar, rather smallselection of wine by the glass (only 4 reds, for example). We were VERY HAPPY that they require proof of COVID vaccination --that makes us a lot more comfortable to share a cozy indoor space (though of course it's not a guarantee). Read more
