Had a delightful brunch at the outside tables. Bacon bloody Mary's were full of flavor, perfectly spicy, and tasted even better... with the Shrimp Diablo appetizer! My party brought in a bottle of Mumm to try with the truffled mushroom and cambanzola cheeseappetizer (corkage $20) which was AMAZING! ???? The service was superb, even though they were very busy. So unexpected! This is an unassuming corner of the square in Sonoma. The first clue it was something special is that there... were a lot of locals. We tried the burger, which was perfectly prepared. Perfectly. And the real surprise of the night wasgnocchi. Not just gnocchi; probably the best gnocchi I've ever had. And I've had a LOT of gnocchi. Chef Carlo is doingsomething very special here. We came here on Christmas Eve and really enjoyed the experience! This was one of the few places that had a Yelp Reservation on... Christmas eve so we really appreciated that as tourists to Sonoma. Good: The service here is quick! I really liked the lobsterbisque soup - small portion size but really tasty and has a lot of cream. The gnocchi here is a huge portion size, super heavytoo so I couldn't finish it but the bacon inside it made the whole dish super juicy and yummy. I also liked the squid inkrisotto - it had a unique plating and had a lot of shrimp and scallop that came with it so it was a good amount of food. Theambiance here is also really cozy, and you can see the food being made in the clear windows to the kitchen. Bad: I found thelobster tagliatelle just standard, I don't think it had enough flavor. Overall, this place is a really great place for beingavailable to book on Yelp - it's not a super unique experience but it's a good place to go for really solid food. Read more
