Our visit to Ram's Gate Winery went very smoothly from booking on Tock, arriving early for the first group of tastings on a... beautiful day. We were promptly seated on the patio on the side overlooking the vineyards and it was lovely. The person whohelped us with our tasting was knowledgeable and personable. We did also order the charcuterie plate since it was first thing inthe morning and it was very nice. The wines were good, better than average but not the best we've had from the region. Overallthough, the experience was terrific and the tasting room is stunning. It would seem that going in the shoulder or high seasonsare best since they have their best staff then. Read more

WOW! Perched upon a hill, where the San Francisco Bay meets the edges of Napa and Sonoma counties, lies Ram's Gate Winery. From... the absolutely stunning & breathtaking design of their tasteroom, to the exceptional service we received from Sergio ourSommelier, we were BLOWN AWAY!!! They gave us a welcome wine in addition to our flight! The sounds of birds, views of thevineyards & natural gardens, and scents of flowers planted throughout, this place was MAGICAL!!! ALL the wines in their flightswere DELICIOUS! This was our first stop after our first half of our vacation in San Francisco. Ram set the bar very high andthey deliver. Definitely a must in you're in Napa. Plus it's the first one you see!!! Thank you Sergio for making our trip somemorable. Sending love from Chicago! Read more

We were really excited to have our first tasting experience at Ram's Gate. We live only 20 minutes away in San Rafael, and were... looking for a place to recommend tasting experiences to our many out of town guests who love wine and our Bay Area wine countryand who like joining wine clubs when they have a great experience at a winery. We came in Dec. 26th for our very first tastingand brought a guest, and asked if we could either be seated with a view of vineyards on the other side of the big bar in thefirst room from the entrance which had available tables, or at a table next to or near the roaring fireplace which was alsofree, or in the next room over, with a fireplace and great view. We were denied all options, and instead seated at the firsttable after you enter the tasting room, without a view or fire and where it's most cold. The hostess said that other peoplewere coming and we couldn't sit at the free table closest to the fire, or the white chairs in front of the fire because someonemight be coming ... we came at 2pm, and left at 4 and no one ever showed up. We were told by the server that the other largebeautiful room you walk through on the way to the downstairs restrooms was for people who ordered food. We checked out thatroom a couple times, and no one ordered anything beyond a charcuterie board which is what we also ordered. There were alsoparties from 2 people and up. Not just large parties. We ordered a charcuterrie board and a few $50 tastings, which wereexcellent, however, our server, although very nice, wasn't experienced. He said he had started labor day weekend, yet he didn'tgive us any details on any of the wines we were tasting beyond where the vineyard was located (on a few of the wines). He saidhe would send the wine maker over to talk to us, but that never happened. We did really enjoy the wine selections and the board, however, for $50 per tasting of 5 wines, we were hoping for an experience with at least a story of the wi Read more

Ramsgate is not your average wine tasting, it is an experience. Our server, Aaron, was knowledgeable and charming. It is not... inexpensive ($50/tasting or 3 bottle purchase) but well worth it it. This is a real tasting, not a swig in the bottom of theglass We ordered the Cheese Board in liue of lunch and it was fantastic!! The ambiance is amazing inside as well as thelandscaping outside. Lots of Salvia luecantha, Salvia greggii 'Hot Lips', Salvia azurea, Nepeta, and Lavender. We willdefinitely come back!! Read more

The property is stunning and a great place to spend an afternoon wine tasting. Being in the carneros area, their chardonnays are... all very good. The pinot noir are also really nice. If in the area, it's a must visit! Read more
