Came here off the rec of a Louisianan, mostly cause they had beignets. I ordered four - two peach, one apple, and one raspberry... (the filled beignets come in orders of two but you can request two different fillings). All were very good, though they took alittle while to come out and I doubt the fillings were homemade. Pretty cheap, though - $3.75 for two filled. Service is nicebut slow about cleaning tables, so expect to eat at a dirty one. Location is ideal for those getting on I-10 out of Gonzales.Would definitely nix the hotel continental to stop by here again. P.S. I?d definitely recommend getting more tart flavors forthe filled beignets. They?re basically donuts with powdered sugar instead of glaze, and the sweetness of the bread is bettercomplimented by tarter fillings like raspberry, cherry, and so on. Only reason why I didn?t grab their cherry filling is becausethey were out of it. The peach filling is surprisingly good for a non-tart option, though! Read more

I loved this place!!! I literally can't wait to come back. The service was good and the food was to die for. The beignet fingers... are addicting and the red beans and rice were authentic. The restaurant was beautiful inside and out. We loved watching the fishin the pond outside the window. All around a great experience! Read more
