Pretty good food. Love the beans and the homemade fries.
It was the middle of the afternoon, so it was pretty slow. The waitress/cashier/ bus ma'am was very friendly and gave us a run... down on the daily menu. We both chose the Tuesday special of Etouffe' over catfish on a bed of rice, with a salad with Ranchdressing. The wait didn't take very long before it came out. I noticed that the Ranch wasn't that out of a bottle. It had to bethe kind mixed up on site, because it was very good. The main dish was very flavorful! I love their version of Etouffe' over theseemed to be blackened catfish, which was good on its own. I should have asked for an extra side of etouffe' because I lovesauces, and it was very good. Great place for lunch. It?s a cute lil dinner in Sour Lake Texas. Best fried catfish in town and don?t forget the hush puppies!!
Fried catfish was good. The staff was friendly. It seems to be a local chain of 5 locations. All the seafood looked good.
The Po?Boy ?Speak Easy? was phenomenal with ample crawfish in the étouffée and abundant, crispy fried shrimp. Hushpuppies were... flavorful with a slight sweetcorn aftertaste. Fried Okra was perfectly crispy. The French Fries were rather generic, so the freesubstitutions were a welcoming policy of which one should take advantage. The prices seemed at first glance to be on the higherside; however, the large portions made them more than worth it, so do not let them deter you. I will be back. Repeatedly. Read more
