Mexican food done right !!! Mago Grill & Cantina is fancy Mexican restaurant in South Barrington. Love the fancy decor and... layout of the place. It has a really modern and fun vibe.. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed. Luckily we hadreservations. We were promptly seated and our server was fantastic. We started with the table side guac which is an absolutemust. It was so fresh and tasted amazing. Everything we tried after was equally good. Special mention for the desserts they wereincredible . We got the churros, tres leches, and Hera do frito mixto. Loved each one of them and can’t wait to go back andtry them again. 10/10 for service, the host and servers did an exceptional job of making our dining experience wonderful. Theyhave three locations in Arlington Heights, Bolingbrook, and South Barrington . Try it out and enjoy delicious authentic Mexicanfood. Read more
The restaurant is very authentic but modern at the same time. You can see the kitchen thru a spotless glass. Immaculate! Food... quality is very good. Will definitely come back soon to try more dishes. Our waiter Rolando was super nice. Loved the guacamolefreshly made at our table. Read more
Absolutely Awesome Restaurant! The dinner menu is superb. The drink menu is delicious. The atmosphere is lively. Perfect for... date night, or a family get together. Plenty of room for parties. I'm not too sure about making reservations I don't think theydo you have to call to find out. Yes they do have an outside patio, perfect for a romantic summer night. Read more
One of our favorite places to go. Outstanding food, drinks, and dessert. Atmosphere is great too.
Delicious empenadas, great drinks, and of course had to finish with a shot of Don Julio 1942. Service was great as well!
This was a really cute Mexican restaurant in South Barrington. Really enjoyed the decor, and the staff was super nice and super... attentive. When you order guacamole and chips, it is made right at your table. The taco salad always good as well. I willdefinitely be back! Read more
Wonderful inviting interior, plus cool garage door opening to patio. Just a pretty restaurant. Attentive staff & interesting... menu with wide variety of options. Table made guac is yummy! Enjoyed 3 different entrees, all good. Nice size. It's notnecessarily inexpensive menu, but feel good value for price, with good staff & cool decor. We ordered number of times fordelivery too during past 12 months, always good & packed well. Glad to see it so busy when we were there. Read more
Great Tequila selection with fresh margaritas. Tableside guacamole prepared and presented in a molcajete ...DELICIOUS! Chips are... hot and fresh, not too thick or thin. Creative selection of tacos. And a lively mariachi band. Will go back. Friendly serviceand clean bathrooms. Read more
