Enjoyed this restaurant. Different but tasty. All plates were done well. Staff was friendly and prompt. Our waiter was friendly,... knowledgeable and helpful in selecting our food. Had a party of 8, right at opening: ? Amazing flavors and unexpected combinations ? embraces flavor in a way that can be hard... to find around town ? Fresh ingredients ? Food was perfectly prepared (ex. salmon had the perfect texture and sear) ? Servicewas delightful and guided ? Service extremely slow/inattentive servers. Only ones seated in restaurant. Did not clear dirty plates for over 30 minutes and... there were many since this is basically a small plate dining experience. Took over 30 minutes to get our dessert and wereinformed the cappuccino machine not working. Unfortunate dining experience. Read more
Everyone at Render delighted us (a large collegiate lacrosse team) from the deliciously fresh food, comforting environment and... lovely service. We felt so well treated. The top ordered dish was the NY strip and it was fantastic!!! I didn't want it to end,this was well above your average steak entree you could truly taste the freshness of the steak. The dish was filling but not tooheavy. I'm not usually a salad fan but the lettuce was tasty with the right amount of dressing ah such great flavors. It's amazing great tasting food from beginning to end. Had the salmon, and was delicious and crispy skin. My wife had the New... York strip, it melts in your mouth. Very picky with Bok Choy and it was delightful.... They know their greens. Will definitelymake this a regular spot. South Bend has some hidden gems!!!!! Read more
Extremely limited menu. Then they were out of multiple things. The waitress seemed like she was in a hurry to get us out even... though there was only 1 other table on a Saturday night. I'm guessing there are no after dinner drinks, coffee, or dessertbecause we weren't offered it. I'm glad we tried it, but you can get better food and better service over at Howard Park. Read more

The staff were incredible, sociable, and offered perfect suggestions on drink and food selections. The owner, Hillary, was out... saying hello to regular patrons and had no issues introducing herself with a thank you and smile. The food was full of flavorand the variations on some tradition style choices was a hit. The BAO is a must try! The pillow like texture almost melted in mymouth. Between the sweetness and the savory....don't pass this up! The sweet potato gnocchi had just enough spice to let mytastebuds know my comfort food was well worth it. Don't pass this place up!
