My only complaint is the entrance we... went to off the main street had stairs, which means trouble for me in my wheelchair. South Bend Chocolate Cafe is very nice! We enjoyed our experience, and the staff were very friendly. Their prices are admittedly... a bit higher than one would expect (we dropped $15 on a bag of their specialty popcorn), but I can certainly view it as a niceplace to reconnect with someone or for a special occasion. The Cherry Hot Chocolate is DELICIOUS. They offer alternate milk options and the hot chocolate was great with almond milk!... There?s a ton of variety in seating and there?s options for more privacy or seating for large groups. It?s very cozy and oldfashioned and I loved the food and dessert options. Read more
We just stopped by to buy some chocolate and it was some of the best chocolate we have ever had! My daughter loved the truffles.... My son got the dark chocolate covered pretzels. He made us go back and get more of them. My wife got the white chocolatepretzels and I got some of the fridge. It was all very delicious. We will definitely be back to try the cafe out. Read more
The world's largest chocolate shop This is definitely a large chocolate shop, it kept going and going. You can find a gift for... any sweet tooth here. I was very impressed with how much this has to offer, it is more than just a chocolate shop. They havepackaged gifts, ice cream, toys, food and a vintage wall of soda pop. I enjoyed listening to live music of Sand Bunny's. Thereare comfortable spots to sit, and on a cold night get some hot chocolate and sit by one of the fire places. The chocolate isreally great. I enjoyed the chocolate mint. With this shop being so large, there are several employees to help run it, and not asingle one greeted me or asked if I needed help. Read more
Excellent customer service experience. I grabbed pictures of the assortment of chocolates I picked up. It seems like they have... designed them all to have some type of feature or shape that helpes you tell them each apart from each other. When I asked abouta breakfast spot for the next day, one of the closing associates encouraged me to come back in the morning. Well, theirrecommendation was perfect. I had the softest bagel breakfast sandwich the next day, and was able to sit outdoors, which Iappreciated. In addition to cafe seating, they have an inviting lounge area inside. Read more
I have visited this place since I was a kid in 99. I've enjoyed every section of this establishment throughout the years. My... children grew up sliding down the play area and I've personally used this location for meetings. Is was not until recently thatI experienced what some might refer to as a verbal onslaught. One employee does not represent the establishment nor will Irefrain from walking in there if in the vicinity but I just feel that they have an issue there that they need to attend to Read more
