Meal was quite good. I had not been there in a few years. The rolls were still exceptional and my salad was VERY fresh. I had... the Filet Medallions and all three were done to perfection (medium-rare). It is served on a bed of rice, which is quite tasty,but it was too "peppery". Not sure if it is meant to be that peppery, but way too much for my taste buds. Same goes for thewonderful green beans. Too peppery. I couldn't eat them. Either someone went too heavy with the seasoning or that's how theyusually come. I called later and asked if you can request these sides to come a little less spicy and was told yes, you can. At least I will know for the next time. Prior years, nothing was every seasoned like this. That's the reason for 4 stars,otherwise I would have given 5. We were not offered peanuts, either. Read more
I want to start by saying the service was great. Our server and the manager were very friendly, and the server seemed to be... attentive for the most part. The downside, though, was the quality of food. I ordered a salmon with sides of a caesar salad(dressing on the side) and seasoned rice. The salad appeared to be good, until I found a dead fly in it (photo attached). If Ihadn’t put the dressing on the side, I more than likely wouldn’t have seen it. The rest of the meal was good, however myappetite was off from seeing a dead fly in my first dish. I assumed my meal would be comped, however it was discounted the priceof a side (2.99) plus 1.00, which is still better than nothing. My husband and I both had the rib eye steak dinner. It came with two sides. We both ordered the loaded baked potato (99 cent up... charge for loaded) and the side dinner salad. The steaks and seasoning, ordered medium, were perfect. The side salads werealso very good. They were fresh with a nice variety of vegetables. The baked potatoes were okay but would not pay for the upcharge again. The bacon bits, cheese and sour cream were just minimal and the potato was not hot. We definitely will go backfor the steaks! Texas Roadhouse has good steaks. Their green beans have a great smoke flavor. During Covid we ordered it to go and it was really... good each time. Customer service is generally good. Read more
My wife and I dined at the South Bend location on Saturday, July 9, 2022. We had not been to a Texas Roadhouse in a long time,... but I was impressed! When we arrived the place was packed! We did the call-ahead seating and the hostess got us seated usright away. The person that took us to our table stopped at the kitchen to get some hot rolls which we were able to enjoy assoon as we were seated. With so many restaurants being short staffed, this management team is doing a great job! In addition toour waitress, there were people delivering the food and other people busing and clearing the tables. They all seem likethey’re enjoying their job too. We’ll definitely be back. Our waitress was amazing, so understanding of my 4 year old and anticipated our (especially his) needs. I feel so fortunate when... i have a waitress who understands how to deal with grabby toddlers. The food was amazing and the rolls with big and doughy! Niceatmosphere. We tried to go on memorial day and it was packed, so we went the next day and were not disappointed. The steakquality is spectacular, I was planatly surprised and the sangria margarita was amazing! Will definitely be back. Read more
Excellent ribeye with bbq ribs. Baked potato and chilled salad was great. Very generous portions. Restroom was clean and neat.... My server, Grace, recommended the proper order. Good service all around. Read more
