5 star dining in the small town of Glastonbury. Beautiful setting, nice bar area, gorgeous ambience, and a small but super... interesting menu loaded with lovely locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend trying the cauliflower appetizer.It wasdelicious. As was the calamari. The complimentary bread with eggplant hummus was a nice start to the meal. The scallop and sweetpotato gnocchi was perfection. Expertly cooked and delicious. The salmon was melt in your mouth and plated beautifully. Thelamb ravioli was also a delicious surprise. The pistachio martini was like a pistachio milkshake (with alcohol of course) and Ifelt compelled to order a second with dessert. The lava cake with raspberry sauce is not to be missed. Service was professionaland friendly and the acoustic guitar playing by the bar added a nice soundtrack our our evening. Read more
Had lunch with my family today at Figs and it was my fourth visit. The food is always exceptional, beautifully presented, with a... creative flair to menu options. Great drink/cocktail menu too. I am always stunned that the place is almost empty each of thetimes I?ve been - and I?ve been for lunch, happy hour and dinner. We live in West Hartford and Figs is worth coming across theriver for a great dining experience with a lovely decor. Beautifully decorated restaurant with great food, friendly service and yummy cocktails! We tried several appetizers which were... all tasty. We sat in the lounge and the bartender showed us a preview of their new menu which is releasing next week. Severalnew additions will please even the most finicky eaters. Anyone who dined here in the past and was disappointed (for whatever thereason) should give it another try as they seemed to have worked out their quirks. We had a lovely time and will be back.
