Yes I love Pepe's. But a 10 minute drive you can get a thicker Italian style pizza with amazing toppings. Give this place a shot

This was my 1st time here today. Saw that this place was rated the 2nd best pizza in Connecticut! Well, I don't agree!!Pizzeria... Sassano, has the Very Best pizza in Connecticut and all of New England for that matter including New York City !!!It's sodelicious, sauce, crust ,cheese ,toppings!!I highly recommend this Pizzeria ...! Exceptional experience with staff aswell,friendly as I had a take out order and got to visit for a few minutes!! Will definitely make this my go to pizza place for allsporting events!! ???? Love their food, have had more trouble ordering from them. Pizza is Brooklyn style, thick crust but not Greek. Great flavor and... great service once you connect. I have no idea why, but they close arbitrarily and don't answer their phone. Again, great pizza,but it takes patience to order for takeout. Read more

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. This was a tremendous food experience. I ordered meatballs and... a pepperoni pizza. The meatballs were beautifully done, most and flavorful. The pizza was excellent. The crust had a great crispon the bottom but was also chewy. A very nice sauce and good pepperoni. Another find from a google search. This very hidden and out of the way restaurant in a little plaza is a diamond in a haystack.... Super friendly server and customers. John (local farmer and in the picture on the wall) dines here about three times a week andhighly suggested a few items that we ordered and enjoyed. We started with garlic cheese bread and house salad. I had the carneamore (meat lover?s) and my wife had the white mushroom pizza. I ended the meal with the most delicious apple bread pudding.
