I have been out of town for around 2 years, went back to HHOP for a classic favorite of mine (I grew up here). I really wanted... to give the new owners the benefit of the doubt, BUT. The place looks like a bomb went off! Sign 1 that we have an issue,but .. OK. I asked a couple of questions and got the dreaded "It's the same!" Dude, you're a new owner, it is not going to bethe same, tell me you are better. OK, still gonna bite. Order a sub, pay $15 for a small sub!! OK, inflation... that's cool...tip cash, cuz I do.... order is made incorrectly... OK, NBD, I'm not gonna make too big of a deal and just ask for what I needto basically get what I asked for. But the quality of the ingredients is not to par, not was the preparation. It makes me sad tosee a place I loved for my whole life fall like that but... CHANGE THE NAME AND DON'T SAY IT IS THE SAME!! I'm sure the "ricebowls and quesadillas" are great, but please don't act like you do what they used to. That was the biggest turn off, other thanthe inside of the restaurant being a disaster. Forge your own path, don't make a mockery of what was there. Only giving 2 starsbecause they were nice. Read more
It seems like the new owners had a rough start. I get a Hawaiian pizza about twice a month, and they're really good. Not REALLY... good, but what you would expect from a local pizza shop. Read more

The pizza was low on cheese and ingredients fell off as a result. They forgot the cheese on the parm dinner too. Sadly they... lost this customer of 25 years. ???? Read more
We’ve been getting pizza at Hamilton house for 30 years. It hasn’t been great lately but tonight was THE WORST pizza we’ve... ever had…ever. A third of the pizza didn’t have sauce and cheese on it. The crust got thinner as it went out until it wasjust a hard cracker at the crust…it was so thin in one spot there was a hole. Either the person making the pizza was trying toget fired or just doesn’t care. What a waste of money, it was hardly edible. Extremely disappointed and will never try itagain. Read more
Did not know this place was under new ownership until I received my pastrami dinner with no bun, just a piece of tin foil with... overcooked burnt pastrami. Called and talked to owner a long time. Now when you order any dinner from here like pastrami orhamburger, you get a "side" of whatever meat you order with no bun. Does that make sense? Thank goodness he fully refunded mymoney. I tried to tell him that other surrounding places do pastrami dinners or plates like a sandwich and he didn't want tohear it. Then I read a reply to the latest Google review and saw that the owner said that for the past 2 months he has beentrying to upgrade the food from the previous owners. I saw 3 ratings, from 3 different websites, of 4.5 out of 5, 4 out of 5,and another 4.5 out of 5. His response does not make sense. The food has always been delicious and the previous owners veryfriendly, calling in an order was very easy. Now it is difficult because you have to repeat yourself many times, like the personcan not understand what you are saying. I will not order from this place again ever, even if offered free food. A pastramidinner is always a sandwich; same with a hamburger dinner. Prices went up too, which I can understand because of covid, but foodquality went way down hill. Read more
Beyond disappointing since the change of ownership. While the food at Hamilton House was never remarkable, at least it used to... be reliably tasty and satisfying, and the place was always clean. I was hoping the new management would succeed, both becausethey are nice people, and it’s handy to have a “go-to” pizza/sub shop nearby. Unfortunately, as pleasant as the new ownersare, they appear to have no idea how to run a restaurant. The food is terrible, they botched my order twice in five tries, andthe shop itself is disturbingly messy. It’s pretty hard to make an inedible chicken parm sub, but HH managed to do it on mylast (and I do mean last) visit. I will never go there again. Read more
