I don't like leaving negative reviews but here goes...go there if you're hungry but don't expect to enjoy it. This is one... restaurant where you will want to fill up on bread. Was seated for fifteen minutes before telling the hostess we had not beenseen by a waiter. Service was slow. The lemon chicken was tough and basically tastless, the lemons on top were dried out and wasgiven approximately three capers. Vegetable risotto didn't have seasoning and no taste of wine, it was almost like they usedinstant microwave risotto rice. The spaghetti and meatballs was okay but the noodles were store bought and the house meatballsleft something to desire. For the price point the noodles should've been homemade. The butter shrimp appetizer was the highlightbut were hardly 'jumbo' as advertised on the menu. Any home cook can do better than this place. Read more
Our server was great! Food was not so good. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the sauce was bland and the meatballs... tasted like rosemary. The salad tasted like rosemary too. Way too much rosemary. My husband had the blackened pasta and ittasted good however the fish tasted off to him. I could only stomach a few bites of my dinner and never ate the rest even thoughI'm a foodie and was very hungry when leaving. Taramisu was great and fresh! Ambiance was great. If they could only improvetheir food and recipes I may consider eating their again. This was our anniversary dinner and I just expected better. Read more
Tom is a wonderful waiter who made our dining experience exceptional. He listened to what I liked, made the perfect... recommendations and came through with flying colors. The shrimp appetizer was Great. I had the pan seared fish but wasn't inlove with it. Certainly would go back to try other dishes. I tried calling the number listed on their website and also the one on their window to make reservations, but it was... disconnected. Finally we decided to just walk in as soon as they opened for an early dinner at 4:30 with my wife and kids ages 6and 3. Neither the hostess nor waiter were friendly, you almost felt like you were annoying them to arrive. When asked aboutany recommendations or specials the waiter simply answered "no" and offered no other comments. The kids ordered pasta and meatballs with marinara sauce and my wife and I shared the lemon chicken and vegetable risotto. We also ordered the Italian sausagepizza for all to share. Everything was very bland and the chicken was too thick for a lemon chicken dish. The kids did not evenhave 3 bites before making funny faces and my boys are great eaters. I tried their dishes, and they were right. Olive Garden hasmore taste. The sausage on the pizza was not fresh and we didn't finish that either. We were looking for a higher end Italianrestaurant, but should have went to the pizza and sub shop across the street. This Italian family that is used to goodrestaurants and grandmas cooking back home does not recommend this place at all. Read more

Fav-o-rite! While on vacation in South Haven my wife and I went to Tello Italian Bistro every night we were there. We tried... other places for lunch but Tello was far and away the best dinner location in town. We had nearly everything on the menubetween the two of us and there were no bad choices. Cocktails were reasonably priced and the wine was excellent. I think myfavorite was the lasagna! Read more
