First of all, I love Cafe Rio. But this location has hands down the worst service I?ve experienced. Anytime you go in here (I... went today for example) there are employees standing around doing very little, while 1 person runs the food line and then doesthe cash register too. Just poorly organized and run with no accountability for their employees to actually be quick. There canbe zero line and you still won?t get out of here in under 15 minutes. Management should take a more hands on approach if theywant to have a better reputation. All of my friends and family know that The District location is a place to avoid. Read more

This location has turned me from a Cafe Rio fan into a patron of their competitors. The service is slow. The food is... consistently low quality. The prices keep going up. The drink machine isn't cleaned frequently enough and everything tastesweird. Why would I spend $15 on a burrito and a drink when I can get the same after meal experience (at a certain fast foodchain that has Baja Blast) for $5? I'm done with Cafe Rio. Read more

Everyone is very busy cleaning between customers! They all work soo hard!! I haven?t ever been to this location it was bright... and inviting the crew was all soo friendly, attentive and ninja fast. Francisco was especially helpful in suggesting new itemsto try. He made the best tacos Read more

Cafe Rio has been one of my favorite places to eat for nearly twenty years now, and I'm really sad to see it drop off a cliff in... quality. The service is now slow, the food isn't as good as it used to be, the entire jovial atmosphere is gone, replaced withdisinterested employees going through the motions (if that), and ordering online is a guarantee you won't be getting what youordered. I think this last trip was the last straw and I sadly just need to stop going. I was in the middle of ordering whenthe lady taking my order just left the line and went to the back and got on her phone. When I tried to get her attention and sayI wasn't done ordering, she ignored me, and eventually one of the other workers came to finish it. Gone are the days of "extrameat!", "Free meal!" And "nacho, nacho man!" And in are the people who couldn't make it more obvious they don't want you thereif they tried. On top of that the rice was hard as rocks. I'm sad to see a place like this, that I've loved since I was ateenager fall so hard. Hopefully they can get their act together, but I'm not counting on it. Read more

Not a single item correct in my online order. And if you are expecting a grilled steak/chicken forget it! They totally don?t... know what grilled means. They add some red spice (more like taco seasoning) and say it is grilled. (Adding picture of the reddry to the bone chicken). And when I went back to try to fix my order, the employees were rude and always chewing while talkingto me! Not a single ?I?m sorry?. Never again! Read more

I got to this Cafe Rio location at 9:51 PM (the time of closing on the door said 10:00 PM). No chairs up on tables yet. Doors... not locked. At least 12 employees standing around. I walked in and a teenager ran up to me and said "Ma'am we're closed" in anunfriendly tone. I calmly looked at my phone to make sure of the time and it said 9:52 PM. I said "you're clearly open. And inaddition, all I want is tortilla soup, nothing else. Easy order." And they all just stood there behind the hot grills and cashregister and no one said anything. They just stared. Then the first teenage boy who ran up to me when I first got there justshrugged his shoulders. So I politely turned and left. Then I got in my car and looked up to see them laughing at me. I'vespent thousands of dollars at Cafe Rio over the years. I miss the days when their customers mattered to them. If I could give 0 stars I would? I love Cafe Rio but this place has continually disappointed me? today I ordered 2 tacos which... come with lettuce and Pico and they just put meat!!! My husband has barley any meat in his burrito not to mention it was Not theright meat! ? This location is the closest to my house but I will be traveling to a farther one from now on! This has been aconsistent disappointment? at least this time the beef wasn?t soaked in water like one of my previous visits? Read more

WORST CAFE RIO I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. As we walked in all of the employees were sitting on the side table and stared at us as we... walked in. Than when we ordered a sweet pork burrito and sweet pork quesadilla we got the very ends of the pork so basicallyjust juice. And after opening up the food there was basically little to no meat. This is not my first time experiencing horriblecustomer service and rude employees at this location. So have you're self the $20 and go to different Cafe Rio.
