I am not sure what the bad reviews are all about?! We had a delicious meal, the ambiance was great, the staff fantastic! We had... a medium ribeye and a 6oz tenderloin with their specialty bacon Mac n Cheese and sweet potato with cinnamon sugar. The wheat bunwas so fresh and hot and delicious, yum! The salads were huge and pretty good, I would say hold the greens a bit. Overall a 5star experience for a Thursday night. Read more
Had the BEST experience today at South Jordan Longhorn! It was my birthday and it was really busy but our waitress was the best!... One of our steaks was very well done when we asked for medium and the steaks got switched with who had it. One of us had asirloin and the other a filet. But she had no problem getting a new one for us. And ended up bringing both new steaks. With noextra charge. And for my birthday you get a free sundae but I asked for the cake and pay the difference, but she didn?t evencharge us for it. Elizabeth W was our waitress and she was amazing! Probably 4.5 stars. We had a great experience as a party of four. The food was hot and tasty. It was clean and not so loud you... couldn't think. We had our name put on a waiting list and it was about a 70 minute wait for a Saturday evening. The place isdarker than it should be. Our table had sufficient light though. We were warned the food times were longer than usual so wedidn't worry. I think it was about normal for a Saturday evening. Started with the white cheddar stuffed mushrooms. They weredelicious! The wife got the New York strip with a side of shrimp and I got the Ribeye. Both were very good and cooked perfectly.I got a side of the Mac & cheese. A bit dry and underdone but still flavorful. Our friends got Ribeyes too. They lovedtheirs. The 4.5 stars is because our drinks ran dry and we had to flag down our server for more. I've been here before and wouldcome back. Lighting and ambiance is perfect for dinner. I had the New York steak, cooked to perfection, seasoning was perfect and I didn?t... need steak sauce or salt and pepper. Baked potato wasn?t quite done. Their steak game is *chef?s kiss*. Sometimes other steak houses make a mistake in cooking the steak a bit too long when the... kitchen?s busy (which, I understand so it?s not a big deal) so my rare steak comes out medium rare. But this Longhorn has neverfailed to serve the perfect rare steak I love, every time I visit! So, I appreciate that a lot.
