We went and tried the new South Jordan Maria's Mexican Grill location tonight and had a wonderful and delicious meal. The... service was spot on and our food came out quickly, hot and fresh, with large portions. The salsa was great - fresh, chunky, withjust the right amount of kick without being too spicy and overpowering. My wife ordered a large combo plate that came with asmothered burrito, a cheese enchilada, a beef taco, and a bean tostada. My plate was one of their new entrees, crab enchiladas. The atmosphere and decor were pleasant and inviting. We will be back. ¡Gracias Maria's! Read more

Delicious Mexican restaurant- I?ve been to the Millcreek location and this one is just as good. Chicken Enchiladas are always my... go to. Perfectly cheesy and the rice and refried beans are fantastic. Also, love the decor. Definitely our go-to neighborhoodMexican eatery! Read more

The food is very well prepared and everything tasted good. I tend to like Spicy and it wasn't quite there, but they do need to... cater to a wide range of taste. They did have hot sauce so I spiced it up. Read more

Update 9-2022: Another trip to Maria's in the books. After being greeted by Maria herself, we found that our table for 12 was... already to go with us having only called ahead 10 minutes before, all the way down to the salsa and chips. I picked El Tapatiodish that promised spice and it delivered. (Although, I could have gone for just a little more heat, personally). This place isa gem in the south end of the Salt Lake Valley. We're lucky to have it! First review: I was excited to see Maria's open up inSouth Jordan. The food absolutely hit the spot. I am not typically a fan of mole, but this place may have changed my mindforever. I ordered Holy Mole so that I could sample three different moles and each one was delicious in their own way. My wifeordered the tamales, there was a miscommunication about my wife's order that was fixed promptly. My only constructive feedbackis that, even before the mistake on my wife's order, there was a significant gap between when my meal was brought out and whenmy wife's finally hit the table. And finally, we were brought a complementary churro to wrap things up. Maria's is the place Iwill recommend to everyone for Mexican in this part of the valley. Read more

Pleasantly surprised! Having recently moved here from New Mexico, we?ve been looking for some decent Mexican food. We tried the... carnitas and the mango enmoladas. The carnitas were moist and flavorful and the enmoladas were something I?ve never had butquite tasty. Sides were standard but done well. Read more

Overall, a yummy place for a relaxed lunch! Maria?s is a new place and has colorful and clean decor, which was pleasant. There... was a pretty painting/mural on the way to the seating area which we appreciated. There is a lot of natural light with largewindows along the road- facing side of the seating area (which is where most of the tables are- booths on the other side).Another good note is that the music was not overwhelming. It was easy to talk without being bombarded which isn?t always thecase. We were seated immediately and waited a few minutes for the server. We received chips and salsa which were nothingspecial, but it was something to munch. I would have like the chips warm but that?s just personal preference. The servicethrough the visit was brisk and efficient but not unfriendly. My husband got the carne asada smothered chimichanga and I ordereda two cheese enchilada plate with one hard shell shredded beef taco ala carte. The enchiladas were good- mild but nice flavorand especially good was the overall preparation of it. The corn tortillas were tasty and nothing fell apart or became a uniformblob while eating. Tons of cheese without being a soaking mess. The rice and beans were also nothing special and prettyso-so. I really enjoyed the taco! The shredded beef was lightly but effectively flavored and utterly stuffed the shell. It wasall the way to the top. Shell was crunchy and again, not soaked. It never fell apart even when I added a lot of lettuce andtomatoes. It did lack cheese though, which was a bit disappointing. My husband?s chimichanga was smashing! The carne asada wascut in thick chunks and the tortilla was also crispy and fried just right. The ratio of meat to other ingredients was reallyright on. Each bite had everything. Again, the preparation was a winner- no swampy mess during or after eating. We were notasked if we wanted refills while we were there (we did finish the drinks) nor dessert at the end. I was planning on orderin Read more

Pretty good! We were seated quickly and had prompt service throughout our meal. The staff was attentive to our needs and... followed up regularly. The meals were all presented well and I loved the atmosphere. The chips and salsa were flavorful (in factjust a tad too much spice for me but I know others love it). However, I felt like my meal was lacking in flavor. It was yummy,I just expected a little more though. I was pleased that they had fried ice cream. But it was not my favorite either. I've triedalmost every fried ice cream around. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it. I did. It's ice cream! It was just different thanI expected is all. The staff was very nice. Read more

This restaurant is nice. The interior definitely had a Mexican feel to it. The chips and salsa were very good. Unfortunately, I... did not enjoy my Chile verde burrito and taco quite as much as I hoped I would. They weren?t bad, just didn?t really satisfy mypersonal preferences. The same thing happened with my wife and her meal. The food wasn?t bad, just not quite what she hoped for.She ordered the Menudo Mexicano. Read more
