Came for the Thanksgiving 'experience', (we weren't hotel guests), and chose the wine pairing to go with the five course meal.... The staff were perfectly nice but no attempt at conversation made, pretty perfunctory service. Food was brought out reallyquickly, but the wine pairing wasn't, so I was always a wine behind each course. Ie- nothing was 'paired'. Our server broughtthe next course whilst I was still eating the last, which was awkward. My dessert came with the nuts I had specifically asked tobe taken off as I have an allergy. Finally, I was not served my final wine pairing, the server just brought the cheque. The fooditself was tasty, but at $125 a head, not mind-blowing. Had such a awesome time here. The bartender was great and making us feel welcome. She was a plus! Memories to last forever! We loved this place. We walked down for breakfast and we're basically alone early in the morning. Sat inside and the waiter... opened the door to the outside with an amazing view of the lake. Can't get on the beach across the street though fyi unless youare a guest. The food was great. Only downside was the couldn't make change and I had to use my credit card...seems to be athing more and more places though. Read more

My husband and I chanced upon this gem, on our first morning at Tahoe, the past weekend. We were looking for breakfast places... and Google took us in search of this spot. We didn't realize the Jimmy's was located inside the Lakeside Resort and Spa. Withguidance from some helpful front desk staff we found our way to this beautiful restaurant. Just as the view was blowing my mind,their amazing staff, Olimpia showed us to our table and listened ever so attentively to every request we had. We are vegetarianswho are also wary of consuming gelatin, Parmesan and few other ingredients. Every item we ordered came out exceeding ourexpectations, served in the most aesthetic manner. They smelled, looked and tasted divine. We finished the meal with somecoffees and again it was the best mochas we had ever had. The three meat Bolognese was superb. The sauce was over perfectly cooked tiny shells. Well worth the visit. My son had the... seafood risotto which was also fabulous. We were both members of the clean plate club. The wine list by the glass is limited butI had a nice Malbec and my son had cocktails. The service was excellent as was the ambiance. Incredible breakfast! I have been coming to South Lake Tahoe for over two decades and was delighted to discover Jimmy’s this... past trip. Hands down the best breakfast I have ever had in Tahoe. The hotel itself, The Landing, is a gem. A small, boutique,hotel located right on the water. Jimmy’s is a more small restaurant that makes it cozy and prevents it from getting too loud.They are both indoor and outdoor seating options, both with Lake views. We loved our meals so much we came back two mornings ina row! Maria served us both mornings and was incredible. Hector was there true star of the show. Kind, attentive, and a genuineasset to The Landing and Jimmy’s team. He instantly recognized us the second morning we came in and even remembered that wehad told him that we recently moved back to CA from CO. Hector is amazing! Read more
