The food was good. The ceaser dressing was a little watery. The boneless ribs had a different texture than what I'm use too.... This place is kinda of pricey. Read more

Loved it! I ordered the slow roasted prime rib and it was delicious (I'm not a food critic and this was my first time having... it). And despite it being busy, the service was moving like clockwork. I had a drink called The Woody and it was exquisite. Andthe outdoor seating gave us an excellent view of the lake during the sunset. All in all, great experience and I hope to comehere again next time I'm in Tahoe. Read more

Wonderful location on the shoreline of South Lake Tahoe. Lots of outdoor seating. The food was very good as was our server (His... name is difficult for me to remember as it is Romanian). He spoke excellent English and was very personable. The house madeSalt & Vinegar chips and dip are great and the Original Trader Vic's MaiTai's are fantastic. Read more

We enjoyed dinner at this restaurant overlooking the lake, but I couldn’t give it 5 stars based on less than stellar service... and less than expected food quality and presentation for the big prices on the menu. Expect to have slow service (not so badwhen you are enjoying drinks and watching the sunset on the water) and paying more than expected for your menu choices anddrinks. We liked the view from the patio, but the sunset on the mountain to the west is not really visible from here. Thelobster deviled eggs sounded great on the menu, but were basically just plain deviled eggs with small pieces of lobster on top.Nothing special… Being originally from Maryland, the crab cakes as an appetizer were also unimpressive. The entrees werebetter, and portions were ample. They do have online reservations, and free parking. Valet parking is available, too. A goodrestaurant to try, if you don’t mind the high prices, but I wouldn’t highly recommend it to family or friends Read more

My second time dining at Riva grill and we got to enjoy the back patio on a lovely evening at sunset. The staff was friendly and... timely and our drinks and appetizers were good but when our main courses came two in our party ordered the white fish and one ofthe dishes the fish was extremely overcooked and dry, so much so we sent it back. We went here after an elopement and took 8 friends who drove/flew a long way out to dinner. The location was beautiful and the... food was amazing. Scott was our host and did a fantastic job. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The Grille wasvery busy but I suppose that was to be expected when the food was so good. The shrimp and lobster bisque was the best I've everhad. When you go make reservations! Read more

One of our fave restaurants in South Lake Tahoe for a nice meal with a view! Even on busy winter weekends you can usually walk... in and get a window table. View is spectacular both upstairs and down. Food is really good American menu with options foreveryone. The service is always friendly. They genuinely seem happy to be there and I can see why, fun vibe! Our go-to whenwe’re in town! Read more
