Foods good, service is a little hit or miss. The interior is getting dated, and the bathrooms are dirty and old. That's not a... great thing in a sushi restaurant. Or in any restaurant for that matter. I would love to keep supporting this place because it'sbeen around a long time and the owners are nice but they need to update and clean. Read more

Great sushi, prices arent insane, friendly and accommodating staff. The sukiyaki soup is on the menu is one of the best soups I... have ever had. Tuna quality is always good and consistent, and the owner is the man! All the sushi chefs are experienced andknow what theyre doing. Read more

We got seated and immediately the waitress told us it will take a while to get our food and asked if we wanted to order... appetizers while we waited. We didn't. The food was good, although we ordered sukiyaki and everyone else was ordering sushi. Thefood took 50 min to come. If you are going to be making people wait almost an hour for food, you should be giving free edamameor miso soup. Majority of the people were waiting on their food for a long time. Seems like this place either needs to limithow many people they can seat or hire additional chefs. Read more

I had came to Samurai a couple of times before the pandemic and it was a great experience. I wanted to try it again since I had... time and wanted to have great food and experience. Man I was wrong! When I entered the restaurant it was about 6 30 pm and itwasn?t busy. I am giving it 2 stars because it the food was okay. When we entered it seemed like there was a waitress that isinexperienced or new. She sat me and my wife down and then we asked about their drink menu she said they have saki or beer. Iasked her if they still do cocktails and she informed me that they don?t do that anymore. This waitress was rude when she saidit. We told her that we will stick with water and she walked away. It took her 15mns to come back and take our order, we orderedthe food and at this point the restaurant started to fill up. We ordered 4 rolls and sashimi and it took about 35 minutes forthe food to finally come. The waitress didn?t know which rolls where which and was missing 2 rolls. We began to eat our food andabout 20 minutes later we got our other 2 rolls, which I understand it got busy. The waitress was not attentive as we didn?t getsoy sauce when we asked and she forgot. I had to ask the Busser for some and she did not check in with us. The other waitresscame and checked in with us instead. We had asked her for the bill so we can get going. Our waitress made us wait for the billabout 15 minutes and another 15 minutes for it to get picked upafter 15. I signed it with added tip, because we know that tipsare important. The food and the other waitress was helpful. The waitress that served us needs to get proper training and knowhow to treat customers, at least be friendly. The food was okay like I said nothing special like it use to be. This place use tobe a town favorite now it?s a disappointment. Will go somewhere else from now on for sushi. Read more

RESPONSE TO THE RESTAURANT OWNER: 1. THIS IS FACT: we ordered their most popular foods taking them 1.5 hrs to complete. So... simply don't come if you want their most popular food. 2. THIS IS FACT: We said we wouldn't pay until the chef apologized forhis rude yelling behavior. Actually, we didn't hear any apology in the end but we still paid them. Also, we didn't yell at all,and we just communicated to request for a reasonable discount due to the unacceptable 1.5 hr wait time. 3. THIS IS FACT: Tell mewhere asian hate showed up in my comment, so ridiculous. LMAO. Original comment: I would put ZERO star if google allows. Reallybad experience. We have been waiting 1.5 hrs for our food. The waiter told me the average wait time is just 1.5 hrs. I can?tbelieve it. The chef is really rude, showing no respect to the customers. Read more

somewhat affordable sushi for the area and other menu items are decent. friendly servers. casual place no fuss. not so... touristy. BUT..had to knock 1 star off bc on their website menu which we?re instructed to look at from a QR code, stated thatthe prices for scallops and amaebi nigiri were lower than what they actually billed us. we didn?t realize this until we left andlooked at the menu again bc we remembered it being a bit cheaper so we thought that was a great deal and ordered a lot ofit. FYI it?s extremely bad practice to show different/lower prices on the menu and misled people to order and NOT informing uswhether some nigiri prices are outdated etc (if it is indeed outdated) orrrr just over-billing us and the menu prices werecorrect. this left a sour taste in our mouth after having a good meal. we tipped servers well, too? how unfortunate. we?re fromout of towns so won?t be going back here. WARNING: pay attention to your bill and compare it with the online menu, patrons. Read more

Amazing! 100% satisfied, it was our first time here, we ordered various rolls, they were all delicious. Usually when we try a... few different rolls, one or two don?t meet our expectations but all the ones we tried were delicious! The salmon, tuna andshrimp were so soft and fresh. The 49ers roll is delicious. We are fans of raw salmon, the Tahoe roll is also yummy. The waiterswere friendly and attentive to the current safety regulations. May was our waiter, very sweet. Reasonably priced. Read more
