Oh man where do I start. Can’t believe I haven’t tried this restaurant over the years of coming to Tahoe. Really low-key... building off the side of the main road but the food was spectacular. Our server was excellent he helped us with every requestand even took note when we made the reservation that it was someone’s birthday. Brought over a slice of cake with a candle init. To start we got the Eggplant Stack. Perfect texture with the goat cheese adds a bit of sourness to the dish but the tomatobasil adds another flavor in your mouth, amazing! The Fresh Salmon Scaloppine was the server’s suggestion. Perfectly cookedsalmon. The New York Steak was probably one of the best steaks I’ve had. Perfect medium rare, great crust with a garlic/parmesan taste to it. Great restaurant, service staff was amazing. Food is phenomenal. This one’s a must for me next time Icome to South Lake Tahoe. After listening to a podcast, decided to check out Scusa. I enjoyed the food and service! Mark was great waiter who was... professional and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the warm, complimentary bread that came with oil and vinegar. The lobster ravioli wasdelicious. And chicken piccata was good (especially the zucchini and squash!). Reservations are recommended (seating inside isvery close together, they also offer outdoor seating). Will look to visit Scusa the next time that I am in the area! Read more

Excellent food and service! Loved every dish we got especially the lobster ravioli! Tasty food but comes with very rich creamy... sauce. The only downside is the outdated decor. Read more

This might be the best Italian food I have ever tasted. Many American Italian restaurants fall into the category of being too... "heavy", featuring too much cream and sodium. The dishes I ate here were fresh and light while still being undeniably Italiantasting. Everyone from the host to waiter were wonderful. A small gripe might be the lack of parking; the lot isn't enough tofit cars for each guest if busy and there isn't easily accessible street parking nearby. But this is a small inconvenience todeal with considering how overall perfect the experience inside is. Read more

Food was amazing. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They surprised us with a brownie and ice cream for our anniversary.... Will definitely be back. Great Italian food freshly made. The lobster ravioli appetizer will melt in your mouth. The steak wasjuicy and cooked to perfection. All the seafood was fresh. Zak T. Was a great waiter Read more

The doorway into the restaurant is a little underwhelming. The interior is a touch outdated but not too off-putting. I was... seated right away and in time for the reservation. Ordered calamari, bottle of Chianti, lobster ravioli, chicken piccata. All ofthe food was excellent. The ravioli is tasty and of high quality. It comes in a rich sauce and option of qty 4 or 6. Thepiccata is lemony, buttery and smooth. Fork tender chicken smothered in sauce and tiled with capers. Gabriel, our waiter wasfabulous and even knew my name. I was impressed with the food and the service. Read more

Decent Italian dishes; very traditional with lots of heavy sauces. Good value for your money but a bit too rich for me. Also... some flavors were off like too strong sun dried tomatoes flavor on a seafood pasta dish Read more

Great small Italian restaurant! The portions for the price are worth it. Try the calamari for an appetizer. You won't be... disappointed. I had the Sole special with a mashed potato bed and seasoned vegetables (squash and zucchini). A friend loved thesteak and another loved the shrimp scampi. Try to keep your party smaller though. It can feel a little cramped with a largegroup. Nonetheless the service was great and the food just as great. Read more
