Best veggie burrito in town, hands down! Can?t speak for anything else though. Sometimes the hours are weird, but I?m sure they... are short-staffed like everyone else in town and trying to keep prices reasonable. Friendly staff, always. Food was just OK. Nothing special I'm afraid. Rice was disappointing as was the refried beans. Al pastor Tacos just were ok..... chicken fajitas were very bland. Read more
I'm a Semi - retired Food and Beverage director. Now the past three years working as an Area Manager running several Campgrounds... for the Forest Service I have past this place multiple times and never stopped by. WHAT A MISTAKE! This is in the top 3 BestMexican Restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to eat at, and I'm 50 years old and have eaten at alot.. GR8 Customer Service,GR8 quality and Freshness, GR8 FOOD!! Drove 45 minutes to have a late lunch/early dinner here for celebrating our son?s graduation from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts - and... was not disappointed. Even with rising food costs, Sombreros has maintained their family recipes, large portions and fantasticvalue - all for a reasonable price. If you?re in the South Lake Tahoe area and looking for good quality Mexican food - stophere. It?s definitely worth your time. Read more
Great food! I ordered a shrimp taco and a fish taco, absolutely delicious. My friends also enjoyed their meals. The restaurant... is kind of small, bathroom was average- there weren?t any paper towels. Other than that I?d definitely come back here again! Read more
