burgers were Meh ???? onion rings were so soaked in oil they couldn?t be eaten and fries were soggy and tasteless. ordered... takeout to try this place out and for $60 for 3 burgers i?d rather go to wendy?s (we don?t even eat fast food). cherry on-top?when i went to pick up the food the sever handed me the check and said ?leave a tip and sign? ???? can you be any more tacky? wealways tip, and would?ve left more if you didn?t say that, note for next time. Cozy place with great food and drinks but the service is terrible. I have been here a handful of times now and the servers are... very slow. Most recent visit was one of the worst, server took our drink order and when it was ready dropped them off and saidshe would be right back with her notebook to take order. We sat there for another 20 minutes while she helped table that came inafter us when we final said "hey are you going to take our order considering we've been waiting". She finally took our order andthe food didn't come out at the same time and one meal was messed up. Then had proceeded to ask for ketchup and ranch multipletimes and finally got it once we were basically done with the meal. Read more
2 of us got the half slab of ribs and loved it. A lot of meat but could have used more bbq sauce. Blackened chicken seasoning... was excellent on a chicken salad. The other in our party of 4 had the Hudson's Maurice salad and very much enjoyed it. Wouldgive it 5 stars but by no fault of the tavern, the road noise is too loud. A great bar with very accommodating service. Our waitress found me a perfect off-menu dipping sauce for my fries, and she came... up with a cocktail for my date based just on something she'd found on a different restaurant's menu. Food's good, too: try theReuben. Read more
Not good. Ordered sandwich and fries, fries were cold, asked for new fries, waitress made my wife put her sandwich on a saucer... plate while she took old fries back to be reheated... fries came back burnt and full of grease... for $17... staff should havebrought fresh fries and less attitude. My two star rating is not an implication of the quality of the food. Everything we ate was great and well presented. I brought... 11 individuals for us to have dinner after walking the South Lyon fall festival, but an hour into our meal the a server (younggirl with pink hair) comes to our table and has the audacity to ask if we are going to be done soon( and more it took 30 minutesto get our meal), as they needed the table. I was blown away by this request and even our true server had a bit of an attitude. I?m not sure if the $250, I spent was worth the rude experience. Attention Management team-I know it?s hard hiring individualsin today?s climate, but manners are required and courtesy, especially in the service industry. Good luck! Read more
Tavern was not that busy on Good Friday evening. Server was very nice and polite. Got the fish and chips and it was very good.... The batter was not over the top with being thick or too crunchy. It was very good and nice and light. Fries were just typicalfries. Coleslaw was pretty good as well.. I would say the best fish and chips around. I recommend heading to the tavern andsupport local. This place used to be so good. Entire table got drinks except one of us and the excuse was that the bartender was busy? mind you... there was pretty much not a soul in the restaurant she was just busy talking. Food was terrible, service was slow and waitstaffgot defensive over our complaints about messed up orders. We ran out of drinks halfway through and server never came back to ourtable. It?s sad this place is going to end up closing down because clearly you guys don?t care considering all of the complaintsyou have gotten recently. I won?t spend my money here again Read more
