OMG, Drew made me the best footlong cheesesteak I've ever had! The meat was hot, seasoned and plentiful, that red pepper stuff... was in just the right proportion and the bun was warm! Just delicious! They've right on the corner of Pontiac Trail, South of E.Lake but you might fly by so make an effort to look for them. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and you won't have towait forever for your food. A nice little gem for South Lyon! Read more

* Update- it has been a few months now that Lefty?s has been under the new ownership and although our cheesesteaks have still... been fine, they are not nearly as good as they were when the new ownership first took over. Multiple mistakes in the orders,less cheese or other ingredients. We are still a fan and like the food more than some other options in the area, justdisappointing from how great our experience was a few months ago.* Currently in a food coma so this is difficult to type butour food was outstanding. We had never tried this place before due to negative reviews and stories we had heard but with the newownership and recent positive reviews, we wanted to give it a try. I?m glad we did because I?d put it in the running with someof the better quick food options now in South Lyon (for the cheesesteaks at least- I wasn?t a fan of the corned beef sandwichthat I have also tried). It is sad how restaurants are losing their identity to just existing. My wife and I have always looked forward to a Lefty's... cheese steak. However, I regret to say, it may be awhile before we return. We ordered two large cheese steak sandwiches. Theyused to be loaded with cheese and onion and full of taste. Today, not so much. Our subs were not labeled. My own had the sauce on only one side of the sandwich, the person running the place seemed very... overwhelmed and more focused on getting the job done than providing a decent experience. There is room for improvement and Ihope they do. Read more

This place has gone down hi since opening last year. The food took 25 minutes and they no longer serve fountain pop but cans... only. The two employees were arguing loudly. A good cleaning would do wonders as well. I walked in and said hi to the cashier.She said hi. I ordered a sandwich and she said, "that it?' I said, "I'd like fries Cajun style" she said, "that it?" I said,"no I'd like a large soda." She said, we don't have fountain only cans, what kind you want?" There is a proper way to get anorder and that was not it. First time dining in at this location. It was much better than a carry out we had last year. It?s made fresh per order, so there... is a wait time. We ordered the 12? grim reaper sub, Reuben with coleslaw, fries to share & a drink. The cook did a great job! Itwas all very tasty & warm. Great fries & sandwiches. For the fast food this place is very slow. We ordered Greek salad, sub and bacon burger. Sub was breaking in your hand, had to... eat it with fork. Not good quality buns. In bacon burger they put rotten lettuce (!). In Greek salad was no beets.. Onion ringswere not fresh, reheated and quiet burned. Their prices also higher , then other fastfoods around withing half mile radius. Withsuch competition around this place is definitely loosing. Not recommend. Read more
