11/10 for me! The decor and music alone while we waited to be seated set the tone for a great evening. The menu items all sound... and look delicious , based on the plates that passed us. Lobster crepe was richer than expected. Watermelon salad was a perfectfollow up to the lobster before the main dish. The duck breast was cooked to perfection. ** I just left and felt inclined toleave a review and share with a friend. Looking forward to returning but definitely just doing 2 course -- all plates are wellbalanced enough where you can be comfortable with 2 courses and maybe share dessert ! Read more

Love this restaurant!!! The food and service is always top notch. I've been here at least 5 times in the last year or so and the... menu is creative and has a diverse offering of meats, seafood and veggie dishes. The atmosphere really transports you to thesouth of France! Read more

It’s a fine establishment and generally very good. Unfortunately our last visit did not live up to expectations. For one,... they automatically added 22% gratuity - that % is bold and not appreciated. Adding 18-20% is norm and 22% is even rare in NYC. That’s uncalled for. Secondly, we found the dishes. Appetizer and Entrée very salty. After a few bites the salt dominated thetaste and it becomes difficult to enjoy the food. Service was good. But given the high gratuity added combined with sub partasting food, it will take some time for us to return. At least until the memory of salt washes away. Read more

An eating adventure. Price fixed with great menu choices. Wonderful, friendly, and experienced service. Nice aesthetics inside... with outdoor dining. I came upon the restaurant on-line accidentally while searching for an unrelated matter. It will not bean accident when I return again and again. Read more

Such lovely food. The lamb shank was succulent and well cooked. The grilled octopus was perfectly charred and an excellent mix... of chewy and supple. My girlfriend ordered the lavender honey roasted duck and said it was a 10/10, & I can attest. I loved mylamb just as much. We ended with wonderful a lovely chocolate cake desert. Read more

I had ordered and picked up from Bistro d’Azur a few times during covid but never eaten in. I am so grateful I wound up here... tonight. I don’t necessarily like having worded it that way but my mother and I had gone to another restaurant for areservation to celebrate my birthday and walked out because the service was awful. Since we walked out of the first restaurantwe needed an alternate restaurant to celebrate at. Since I loved the take out I suggested we try the dining in. From themoment we walked in I knew it was the right choice. Zayd greeted us and graciously seated us, he was our waiter for theremainder of the night, he was amazing-polite, attentive without being overbearing, he was extremely well versed with the menuand was able to describe each item perfectly we gave him our choices when uncertain of which to order and took hisrecommendations. I know we were both very happy with our orders! I ordered the pan seared scallops for my appetizer, perfectlypan seared! My Mom had the lobster crepe, so delicate and delicious. Main course I had the salmon with quail egg. I asked toopt out of the potato since I am doing my best with keto, they offered more veggies. That was perfectly fine with me, I washappy I received extra because even their ratatouille is amazing and that was the veggie. My Mom ordered the pepper crusted veal(oh no, it might have been venison-oops not my order can’t remember exactly) whatever the meat was it was incredible, perfectly cooked, tender and seasoned to perfection! My mom complimented the glaze more than once. I did break my diet bysplitting the creme brûlée with my mom but trust me it was worth it! Just a note, Zayd was our primary server and was amazingbut every other server who delivered a dish or cleared one was just as amazing, everyone was so polite and professional! Kudosto the chef for the amazing menu and kudos to management for hiring and training such a great staff. We’ll be back! Read more

As a lover of French food, I have returned to this place now 4 times. They had me at the first. The lovely dining room puts you... at ease and creates a cozy space within which to enjoy delectable fare. The staff is very helpful and attentive without beingoverbearing, from the wait staff, bus boys, hosts and owners, it’s clear they are glad to have us over. My favorite apps arethe foie gras which I call ahead for, the lobster crepe featuring chunks of the stuff, the duck confit salad and of course theseafood plate. The grilled octopus was delish. The paella is rich, the bouillabaisse is so flavorful, while the lamb chops andthe NY strip steak were nice and juicy. Next I will try the fish. The obligatory crème brûlée dessert is on the menu alongwith some chocolate delights and a fruit medley. This place has earned my respect and my return business. Without being apresumptuous copy cat, The owners have recreated a delightful and realistic French dining experience right here in northern NJ,equaling the cuisines Francaises of the big city, and at liquidation prices, compared to the greats in Manhattan. They alsooffer a nice selection of local wines and mocktails. You must try it for a proper French dining experience and a nice eveningout. Read more
