It was my first time at Walia restaurant and I definitely will come back again. They have an amazing food and the service was... over the top. I had the veggie combo and the ‘siga wot’ which is a spicy beef stew. It was delicious. I strongly recommendit for Ethiopian food lovers. Read more

Edit: Changed review from 3 stars to 1 star because the next day my sister and I both were not feeling good after eating there.... It wasn't full-on food poisoning, but stomachs were definitely feeling off and that was the only thing we ate in common that daybecause we wanted to try each other's food. Original Review: The food isn't bad, but it isn't good, especially for the price. It's very expensive for the amount of food that you get. The vegetarian meals are basically just sides and yet cost as much asthe meat ones, which I thought was odd. And for all meals only two sides are included. Not a good value and the food is justalright. Takes a long time as well. When I called in my order they said it would be 45 minutes, which was already anunexpectedly long time but whatever. I arrived maybe 50 minutes later and it wasn't ready for me. Injera is included with everyorder, I called before I placed my order to see if they had rice as an option as well. They said that they could substitute theinjera for rice. Perfect. When I got there, they charged me FOUR DOLLARS for PLAIN WHITE RICE. Come on now. They shouldn't becharging for rice anyway but you should at least tell people that it costs more when they specifically ask about it. I wouldn'tbe mad if the food had been reasonably priced, but I ended up paying $30 for one small mediocre meal, which is crazy. Read more

Definitely recommend! Great flavors, polite staff, unique experience given that this genre of food isn't so common. There's... something on the menu for everyone. Great variety in the dishes and you're able to customize with sides & level of spiciness. Irecommend you get spicy. The only downside is that items are a bit too pricey for the serving size that you get. You get plentyof Injera but the portions of protein & sides are small. That aside, the restaurant is clean and nice. Definitely worth avisit. Read more

This was actually my second visit to Walia and it was just as I remembered it - great food and friendly, attentive staff. The... injera bread is tender & flavorful and all the entrees were well seasoned & delicious. Walia is a great restaurant to go to ifyou love Ethiopian food or want to give it a try. Read more

This is a cute little place. We arrived around 4pm and had no problem finding a table for 5 (4 adults and a baby). We ordered... two meat combos for two, it was delicious and everybody enjoyed it and had enough food. We did waited longer than usual for thedishes to arrive but it was totally worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place. Read more
