I stayed at this hotel, because they had excellent reviews. The photos all show a beautiful site, next to the beach, which is... what we wanted. Nonetheless, for me and my family, cleanliness and privacy are important. While the hotel is right on the beach,its bar and grill make it a place not suitable for a getaway. Parking spot is directly for people in the bar, so if no availableassigned 4-5 spots away from rooms is available, you?d need to park across the street. The rooms, which are not pictured intheir site, are dirty and smell gross. The walls are so thin, any small talk/sound from the surrounding rooms is heard at alltimes. There is no way you?d be able to sit outside your room area, since the bar is right outside. This might be the perfectplace for someone out to party and drink, but if you?re wanting to enjoy some family time and have a clean place to rest andchill, this is definitely not the place. (Two stars given for being right on the beach. Minus the stars for being a gross placewith no privacy). Read more

This place was fun! We spent our 12 year anniversary here this past Halloween 2022. The food was delicious, especially the... shrimp. My husband had one of their signature drinks (Turbo Pina) he loved it! Right next to the beach so we got a front rowseat to the beautiful sunrise. Read more

This beach bar and grill has always been my favorite to come to either on my own or with family. The employees are always so... nice and welcoming, the food and drinks amazing, and great music. 10/10 would definitely recommend! Read more

Get a TURBO, signature drink that is so yummy! Had their fish and fries that was fried beautifully and served hot! Walked up... from swimming to eat and drink then walked right back to the beach! Nice staff and clean restrooms! Read more

We barely touched our food it was so bad. This was the most disappointing seafood ever. Our drinks didn?t have any carbonation... at all so they tasted gross and flat. Shrimp left a bad taste in our mouths, tasted frozen and perhaps the oil was old. Oysterswere not cleaned and very sandy. I can't believe we just paid for bland pre-frozen seafood. Definitely bar food. Wonder if thegood reviews are paid for or they're just the drunkies???? Save your money and go somewhere else. Jesus, Long John's has bettertasting food - it's a shame because it is literally on the beach.???? Basically, if you are looking for fresh seafood, don'tcome here. This was a really fun place to go to. It's right on the beach in South Padre island. They had live music. The food was very very... good. Extremely casual. Virtually nobody was stressed up lots of people just in their bathing suits and flip-flops. Real nicecomfortable place to go for a good meal that's pretty recently priced. Packed bar, tired bartenders. I ordered 3 rum runners. They were not good. They weren't even reddish pink. They were brown. ... We didn't drink them. A waste of $35.00. I may give them a second chance to redeem themselves but after that, I'll spend mymoney elsewhere. Read more
