We went there to celebrate my husband's Birthday. Our waitress was amazing as well as the group of ladies behind us as they all... sang to him. This was our second time going there. It is now "our" place. Thank you! Read more

Found a great place to eat here. Was in Fryeburg looking for French or Italian influenced menu. Server recommended a nice wine... to go with the scallop dishes we had. Loved the fresh warm bread. Creme brulee and creme de cassis parfait topped off a lovelyevening! The floor is broken up into four dining rooms, so that makes it nice. Grab a reservation for a Saturday night, severalwalk ins were turned away as they were booked solid. Read more

Considering this may be one of the few French restaurants in Maine, it?s likely a Maine 4 or 5 but overall just an okay... place. We went because my father used to take my mother here years ago. Our party of 5 had 4 orders of escargot. That waslikely the best item we had. It was a bit weird as they serve it with a puff pastry on the top, but no snail shells, yetprovide snail tongs? maybe they want you to use to pick up the small dishes they serve it in. The side Caesar salad was justokay, with way too large chunks of shaved parm on top. Having had duck only once before, I was encouraged because the servertold us how much the other diners loved the duck. It looked like a ?half spring? chicken that used to be served at my fathersdiner in Ellenville NY. The sauce was okay, but I found it odd that there were mandarin oranges on top, and it tasted like theywere the type of mandarin oranges from a can, that sweet flavor of canned mandarin slices. I assumed that there would be slicesof oranges, especially for a 34 dish, which, i guess was inexpensive for Maine. Since i have never had Duck at a Frenchrestaurant before, maybe that?s how it?s done, but it was not my favorite. I think i would have liked a different entree. Mywife had scallops in butter & breadcrumbs, and she really liked it. One funny thing that happened was that we ordered wine fordinner, a rose I believe by the carafe. The waitress brought to the table a carafe and said that they needed to chill it, sothey took it back, and came back with a carafe of wine with the entire top portion of the carafe filled with Ice. Never seenthat before. The disappointment was the French Onion Soup, which I was very excited about. It was just okay. I?ve had amazingonion gratinee at many restaurants, and this was just okay, not very flavorful. They did have a very interesting dessert menu, and my fellow diners had a pistachio cake that I was told was fantastic. Overall, it was not terrible, but we Read more

Very small, yet elegant and intimate dining experience. Specialty French dishes such as escargot, chicken cordon bleu, and creme... brulee. We were delighted by everything, and pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. A very romantic getaway in SouthParis. Read more
