I had a dinner party with about 20 people and used Bayou Market for catering all food from appetizer to deserts. Their food was... incredible and all of the guests enjoyed themselves. Favorites were noted as spinach gouda cheese dip, bourbon bread puddingand gouda bacon mac & cheese...but it all was great. I'll definitely use them again and I fully recommend. This place is a treat! The food is a culinary joy. We regularly get take out here and are never disappointed. Our favorite is... catfish etouffe. Their salads are wonderful and the dirty rice a real treat! It?s all great actually. Treat yourself and dropby. Read more
Great place for upper Central Ave! Wouldn't last in South St Pete! Food was bland, Needs "Seasonings" Black pepper doesn't... count! Shrimp Po Boy was too salty and at the same time the fries had no salt! Beyond that, their bread pudding makes it allup!!! So I'll still go there for the bread pudding! Read more
In celebration of the LSU Clemson game tonight, I ordered some takeout from the new restaurant, Bayou Market and Cafe at 6630... Central Ave. right across from Earth Origins in a small strip plaza. I got 3 dishes and they are amazingly delicious! Crawfishetouffee, hearty and savory over perfect rice. Seafood voodoo pasta with flavor and kick. Finally, shrimp and crab au gratinthat is chock full of seafood meat, melts in your mouth and tastes like heaven. I highly recommend giving them a try. The owner is extremely friendly and polite. They offer weekly menu and every day serves different type of New Orleans style... dishes and soups. You can grab and go or dine in. Also offer refrigerated pre-cooked items if you prefer not to eat it rightaway. I don't know much about Big Easy food, but I enjoyed it. Also, the price is affordable. Read more
