I don’t know how anybody could leave anything more than 1 star for this place… do not waste your money here. First off, my... experience started with their very unenthusiastic, rude, unprofessional host, Karen. I called to check for availability and wasgreeted with a grumpy, “Compass Grill”. I asked about availability for two and was told “Not right now, we’re packed andI only have one server” So I asked, “okay… when would you have availability..” and she said “I don’t know, maybe inan hour.” I then hung up and made a reservation online 30 mins after the call. When we arrived l, the restaurant had 4 tablesin it and 4 bar guests. (Not “packed”). We were greeted by the same grumpy Karen who took us to our table. Indeed, there wasonly one server (!?) who was very nice and good at her job thankfully. (You go Caitlin!). However, the drinks were awful… whatI would expect to get at a downtown trashy bar, not this nice, on the beach, hotel restaurant. We continued on with dinneranyway and the Cesar salad was fine, can’t mess that up. Then we were served some rolls, that I literally banged on the tableand you could hear it from miles away. The rolls were cold and hard as a rock. Why even bother serving those? Our $40 filet and$25 pasta came out next. The “filet” was literally worse quality than a Publix flank steak. It was dry, chewy, and notcooked to temperature either. We frequent steak houses and I am 100% sure that was not filet. The veggies it came with were coldand still tasted like the probable can it came out of. The pasta sauce was good but the chicken fully resembled and tasted likethe frozen bags of precooked, pre-sliced Tyson chicken from the grocery store. Disgusting. Appalling. As embarrassing as it was,I had to involve the manager. I was NOT about to pay over $100 for this birthday dinner when the food was that low quality. Shethankfully removed the entrees and we payed for what we consumed so we could appropriately tip Caitlin, who was having to se Read more

The service was alright, but it is very overpriced. We were perplexed about why the servers seemed to be rotating coming to our... table so we weren’t very sure who we were tipping. For the price we paid though, you’d have expected something a little morespecial but it was usual fair with a noticeably increased price tag. We’ve ordered the same dishes at several other locationsfor half the price and better quality. I’ve actually never eaten food that bland before. I ordered a steak and it hadabsolutely no seasoning. The mashed potatoes had enough garlic to drive off a horde of vampires. Don’t eat here. Read more

Don't let the marketing fool you. We reserved there for father's day dinner as their site says beach front and the menu looked... really good. 1st on their site it says it's beach front. There is absolutely no view of the beach anywhere in this restaurant, not even a window that faces the water. We had a lovely view of the garbage dumpsters. 2nd, the place looks closed, stackedchairs, mostly empty dining room, there were 4 tables the 2.5 hours we were there. 3rd- the menu on their website is not themenu they served, there were at least 5 items left off. ie grouper, scallops, some key things you'd want on the beach. 4th- Nostaff, no bartender, 2 servers and ours seemed like a busboy they let take tables. Nice, but no idea what he was doing. It took30 mins to get drinks and over an hour to get food. He didn't know how to separate checks. but he had already ran our cardsso.... We did try to get in somewhere else once we realized the restaurant was not as described but being father's day we werenot able to get in anywhere else without a reservation. So we were stuck. We didn't say anything at the time as by the time wewere done it was 10pm and we and our baby all just wanted to leave. I went to the front desk of the Sirata the next day tospeak to a manager and what I got was a sorry from the front desk and they'd let the marketing and food and beverage managerknow. So here's an update. Not only was this our experience but 2 of our credit card charges changed when they finalized. Oneof our party was billed over $300 when his part of the check and the charge he signed for was just over $100. I left messagesfor the food and beverage manager and accounting department but no one returned my calls. My friend was left to disputing thecharge with his bank as the hotel/ restaurant chose not to fix their mistakes. Mistakes happen but No effort to fix them ispathetic. Book anywhere else other than the Compass Grill at the Sirata!! Read more

Not bad, but nothing amazing. I was excited to try the filet with brandy peppercorn cream sauce—as I LOVE homemade sauces on... (or drizzled under) meats—but the sauce tasted like thick, standard beef gravy with some whole peppercorns mixed in. Thefilet, however, was very good—cooked well—and a good size. The veggies were a nice blend but the mashed potatoes tastedwatery like instant (boxed) potatoes. Overall, the food was good, but nothing to wow over. The one thing that would definitelyprevent us from going back though was the atmosphere… It might be okay for breakfast and lunch, but they shouldreallyyyyyyyyyy consider dimming the lights (or updating them to dimmers) for dinner time. It felt like a bright cafeteria (at8pm) instead of a hotel dinner lounge. Read more

Food was definitely made with thought and effort! Came in a Saturday night for dinner. The place was not busy and I only saw two... waitresses. Service was a little slow but I attributed that to a large party that was in the same area. Ordered the crab cakesfollowed by the jerk pasta and ravioli. Each was delicious and fresh. Bread was also freshly baked (or reheated) Parking was alittle shard to find as it’s connected to a resort of some sort. The breakfast bar set up looked like it would be nice andcould be another great meal for the further to come back to. Read more

Hands down best breakfast on the beach. Excellent food drinks and service. The burrito put ihop to shame...and you can take any... leftover pancakes home as a spare comforter. Portions and prices exceeded expectations greatly. Make time to visit this awesomelittle hacienda before heading out to the beach out back! Read more

We stayed at the resort attached to the Compass Grill and were given a few vouchers for breakfast here. Now, the breakfast menu... is a lot of potatoes, starches, and carbs. There isn't really a solid protein packed meal besides the steak and eggs.Unfortunately, the vouchers don't cover that meal. However, speaking with Lisa and explaining my dietary needs she allowed meto order this meal. I didn't really touch the potatoes or bread- but the steak was cooked how I ordered, medium and the egg wasdone correctly as well. I highly recommend asking for Lisa if you try them. She is the most pleasant and tentative there- evenremembered my exact meal several days in a row! The rest of the servers seem to just go at their own pace and talk way too muchinstead of being attentive. The hostess, I am sorry I forgot your name, dark complexion and beautifully braided hair was afunny and lovely gal too. As far as prices- it's expensive because this is tourism. 10 bucks for a meal seems to be thestandard now a days. However, with that being said I wish in the future they would think about adding to their menu forbreakfast a pick 4 for $8 or something. Give me the option to create my breakfast plate because of my dietary needs withoutpaying more because of health issues. Lots of places offer this- please consider adding it to your breakfast menu.
