Employee testimony and personal experience |MUST READ| During a time like the pandemic, one would hope employees practiced... proper food safety correct? .. WRONG Not a single employee at this establishment wears gloves, they constantly touch and prepareYOUR FOOD with their BARE HANDS. I would be lying if I said this is where my experience saw it?s ending. I worked at thisestablishment for roughly 2 weeks and today I am relieved to announce that I quit! Let me explain why & how. From my first day,I was talked to like a dog and not treated with the respect that I provide co-workers and human beings in general. I was askedmy religion, and then was bastardized about believing in Christianity by the men named JUSTIN & JOHN. I took that one on thechin out of desperation for a job, and returned to work the next day. Over time, I experienced an overwhelming amount ofnegative experiences. Such as ; whispering about me, being inappropriately touched on the waist by a woman at this establishmentthat goes by the name T, and being HEAVILY criticized for my beliefs and demand for a safe and clean work environment.Additionally, being made fun of for my teeth. The worst part is there is a woman there who BUSTS HER BEHIND named Denise. She isa HARD WORKER and doesn?t deserve being made fun of for her disabilities behind her back. When I quit today, I brought all ofthis information directly to the owners Deb and Charlie. I told them I would be leaving this review, and would EMPHASIZE thatthe owners are good people with bad employees who have gotten away with too much for far too long. Upon expressing my issues andconcern, I was met with immediate hostility and called a ?troublemaker? by the woman Deborah who is Charlie?s wife and also theowner. She was swift to defend her employees, and if only she applied the same loyalty to practicing food safety they would haveavoided this review. This local restaurant makes some fantastic dishes. The meals are always freshly made to order and the portions have filled me up... every time. So, I saw the great reviews online and couldn't wait to try it. Strike 1: I call to place a pick up order for a turkey sub. The... woman on the phone extra nasty. (Started to cancel, but was starting. Plus I expected it to be good like the reviews said).Nope. Wasn't bad or good. Just meh. Strike 2: A few months later I'm craving corned beef and pastrami. Google who has good onesin the area. It's them. Fine. Tried it. Dry as cotton. Strike 3: My kid wants a breakfast sandwich today. I call (Only placeopen near me) place an order for 2 pork roll & cheese on lightly toasted rolls with mustard. Well done. This must be the hidden jem of the area. If you are looking for quick bite, thats tasty and reasonably priced, this is the... place. Staff- very courteous Food was amazing. The service was fast. Price- totally reasonable Their menu has all the optionsyou expect from a good sandwich place. The interior, and seating area are good but the space is small. So it must get crowdedeasily.
