Fantastic food and great service. Open kitchen concept. If it is was in downtown portland, it would take months to get a... reservation. More people need to know about this spot! Will 100% be going again! Read more

We stumbled upon this unique gem of a restaurant while on a bike ride. Fresh seasonal farm to table, locally sourced, creative... appetizers, entrees and desserts. Three in my party and we all shared the delicious smoked muscles from Bangs Island withsourdough toast and infused with chilies and oregano. They were to die for! As was the gnocchi with aged sheep cheese withanchovies salsa verde and monkfish with tahini, fried shallots and a cucumber tomato salad. The dessert of a light gingerpudding with freeze dried raspberries on top was We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience at JG's and plan to return when weare in Portland again. Read more

This was a disappointing night. Very, VERY overpriced for extremely small portions. Gnocchi, cheese plate, salads... The... comparative restaurants around are better priced and portioned. I live in the 'hood and want them to succeed, but it's hard whenthe comparable restaurants around are better priced and portioned. Read more

Stayed in Portland after driving back from Acadia and wanted to try a restaurant outside of the Old Port District. This... restaurant is phenomenal all the way around. Food and staff are wonderful. C.R.E.A.M. playing in the background. Definitelycheck this place out if you're passing through! Read more

Fantastic inventive menu and wonderful service. I would have never thought that tuna and strawberries would work together, but... it was a flavor sensation! It's definitely a place to share all the menu items to get the full experience of a truly ambitiousand talented chef. I hope this place continues to expand on the fantastic menu items. Read more

Woman who greeted me was very rude. Asked for a mocktail and she rolled her eyes. Actual waitress very friendly though. Gnocchi... was strangely runny and undercooked? (Better than gluey and chewy lol?) also over salted and too much vinegar or lemon juice. Intheory this dish would be excellent but their execution is obviously lacking. Grits had zero seasoning so no flavor. Beer nutsburnt. I had high hopes considering the menu but it was awful. Read more

This place is superb and take my word for it..I’ve been maybe +10 times since it opened! Always a good wine and cocktail... selection (changes often) and the food has never disappointed. I think about the mussels often because they are so unique and SOtasty. A must have! These are not big hulky portions. Prepare to share and order a bit of everything! Always wonderfully kindstaff who is knowledgeable about the menu, and considering the current times- takes very good Covid precautions. Can’t wait togo back. Read more

Food was excellent. Service was spot on. Chill environment. Had 2 small plates, a main, and the dessert. Everything was... outstanding. The kombu old fashioned was a great spin on a classic. Read more
