Highly recommend! In the 6 years I have lived in NoVa, these are the best wings I?ve had in the area. Perfect combination of... saucy and crispy. I got the mango habanero and island dry rub (pretty much Jamaican jerk). Both were amazing but the mangohabanero had too much heat. I dont know why they are called velocity wins, cause they ain?t fast for anything. I got there and I asked if I could order and... a girl made me wait because the other guy was on the phone, and i said ok im fine with waiting, the guy is busy so iunderstand,a so i waited and he kept taking people in the phone while i was there waiting to make my order, I told the girl Iwas in a hurry cause I have a doctor?s appointment and I was starving. It was almost 3 and all i wanted was something fast toeat and go. Well the guy took forever and then he completely ignored me and went away and didn?t came back to take my order. Thegirl who im guessing is the host, took my order, which she could?ve done since the beginning because I told her that I alreadyknow what I want and its not hard to put down ?wings, with ranch and fries? thats it, done, so I waited for absolutely no reasoncause she end up taking my order anyways. Then she told me that my order was gonna be ready in 5 or 10 min because again, it wasa VERY easy order, and i had an appointment so i had to leave ASAP, but its been 10 min and i still haven?t had my order and imgonna get late to my appointment so thank you for that. Would not go again and would not recommend for anything more than a beer. I am not sure who or how they won awards for best... wings/best in Loudoun county. It was an experience that left us wondering if Velocity Wings is the only wing place in Loudoun inorder for it to be "recognized as the best wings in Loudoun" four years straight. We got 4 different flavors of wings. TheCarolina reaper (4/4 on their hotness scale) had less spice than Franks Red Hot or Texas Pete - zero exaggeration in thatstatement. If you had blind tested me I would literally have not known I was supposed to be tasting something spicy. The mangohabanero sauce (3/4 on their hot scale) had no hint or flavor of habanero at all. My girlfriend described it as "it tastes likecheese sauce". The garlic wings were ok but basically just had minced garlic piled on. But I will give them credit that thechicken itself was very moist and fresh. It just was not flavored/seasoned well at all. And several other small things added tothe bad rating. One of the two plates we got was not clean. You can see in the photos that there are snail trails all over theplate like it barely got rinsed before it was brought back out. They serve pepsi products, which I also think is inferior tocoke products. Not sure if it was just how Mugg tastes or not, but it tasted like it had dish water in it. The service was ok.I asked for Ranch and my girlfriend asked for blue cheese. We each got one of each with our wings instead of her wings havingblue cheese and mine having ranch. The atmosphere was normal bar atmosphere. They have a nice patio section for when it's warm.But I just cant get past the quality of the sauces for somewhere that is supposed to be award winning. Nice place to go, sit outside and enjoy good food and beer. Labeled as a wings place but all the food (sandwiches, apps, etc.)... is good. Wings are tasty and well cooked and seasoned. Well priced compared to it's neighbor. Kid friendly. Read more

Great wings, the velocity wings are heavily breaded; the grilled wings are my favorite even though this time we tried a... different one. They give you as much sauce as you want and very kind staff. It?s normally clean - just this time we had pancakesyrup on our table. No wait list, we were seated immediately. 4 stars because the service didn?t feel so comprehensive thistime, we had to ask for napkins, plates and to clean up our table, other than that the food is always yummy. 2018-12-21 picked up wings (tossed and dry) and they were not as good as the first time, to go box did not have aluminum foil on... the inside (like the first time) to keep the food hot; personnel were really nice though; was very busy inside around the bararea, door was propped open, saw people going in and out the door, one of the servers decided to close the door after tellingone of the other personnel that guests on the inside were cold since the door was open, that was a good observation on his part,I recognized the same after looking around while waiting to pickup my food at the front door 2018-12-18 picked up wings (tossedand dry) and they were excellent. Personnel (cashier/hostess and server) were really nice immediately after I walked inside.Food was ready and they told me about the specials throughout the week and that they were voted best wings in the area. Ourwings came with BBQ sauce, lemon pepper dip, garlic parmesan dip, ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, celery and carrots.Everything tasted good.
