This is a super cool vibe. Food and drinks are amazing. Service was a little slow but it felt like vacation time :)
Fresh, authentic and good portions. We ate at the patio, good service. Spicy salsas . We will be back for sure.
I recall a friend once saying "If you want authentic Mexicsn food, never go to the colorful fiesta type places. Look for a hole... in the wall with minimal decoration." Well, that is Las Islas! The seafood menu is very impressive. There is also a nice drinkmenu and lots of appetizers to chose from. Of course there are the traditionals like burritos, fajitas, etc. I tried thechori-queso for a starter and then overfilled myself on enchiladas with pork on top, cannot remember the proper name. The foodwas decent. It was far from the best Mexican I've had, but much better than your typical fiesta type franchise (Acapulco,Paradiso, etc.). The staff was wonderful and the patio seating comfortable. The prices were good. I never checked out theinside nor the bathrooms. The parking lot was not convenient. The train tracks were about 50 yards away, and very noisy. Severaltimes thr nooses made everyone jump. I would give this place a 3.5 if I could (deduction for the train noises) but as that isnot an option, I'll happily say 4/5 for this location. I will edit and add more pictures on a later visit. First time here and love it! Food was tasty and their drinks are bigger than normal places. Service was quick and friendly.... Space, music, + vibes was also really nice. We spent roughly $130 w/ tip. Read more
My family of four sampled the squid, Molcojete mixed, ground beef burrito, kids macaroni and cheese, and a couple of drinks.... Loud atmosphere might not be best for a date night, but kept the other people from being annoyed by my children. Food andservice were excellent! We came with a party of 7 for GALentine's. The food and service was great!! Parking lot is small so avoid busy hours.

Thoroughly enjoyed our first time here. The food was amazing. This is the burrito Las Islas. My eyes were definitely bigger than... my stomach. We will definitely be back every chance we get. Read more
