New and updated restaurant with a tustec yet modern feel, great atmosphere and menu selection! Whether you're there to have a... drink and watch the game, have a nice sit down meal or your own private event, they've got you covered! Great food that isreasonably priced and plenty of great local beers on tap. A must visit if you're in the area! A fun fact for those not from thearea: The restaurant is named after the famous Armour livestock yard that used to be in South St Paul. Read more

Smokehouse burger cook medium, came as requested and definitely delivers on flavor. The smoked bacon and Gouda are a delectable... combination on this burger. The tater tots are crispy and lightly seasoned, as desired. Read more

Decided to have a delayed birthday celebration dinner recently at the Chop House, we had a party of four. Really nice... restaurant/bar and decor that was both clean and inviting. Noticed right off the bat by the decal on the door that there was anair exchange system installed to clean the air of germs which is a good thing! Great location for us in the middle of the diningroom with a view of the modern fireplace. I ordered the sirloin steak requesting medium well. When my steak arrived it was moremedium rare but I didn't want to make a fuss. Next time I will be sure to say "no red or pink" or order it more well done. Thesize of the portion was fine but the quality of the steak was not that great. Other diners had the rotisserie 1/2 chicken dinnerand reported it to be very good. Another diner had the same larger sirloin that I did and was OK with it but also under done andmore rare in spots. The service was fine at a relaxed pace and we enjoyed our interactions with the staff. The prices seem rightto us since everything is going up. Another diner had the French Dip sandwich and was happy with it. I am anxious to return tothe restaurant to try some other menu items. They have a very large menu with lots of choices. The rib eye was priced at $45.00and that seemed expensive for me to choose but I might have been happier with it! This is a very nice place for a special dinnerout...and the outdoor patio looks great too for this summer. I look forward to visiting again. Read more

Stopped in here for lunch with my son on a Saturday afternoon. I was hoping to order one of the skewers, but later realized that... the bottom portion of the menu was only available after 4pm, but that was okay. I ended up going with the Southwestern Omlet offof the Brunch menu, which was delicious, one of the best omlets I have had. My son got the Steak Medallions off of the kidsmenu, which he really enjoyed and scarfed all of it down. He wanted the mashed potatoes for the side, but they didn't offermashed potatoes before 4pm. Service was great as well. A nice place, we will be back in the future with the whole family. Read more

Restaraunt is very nice on the inside, and the service was great. I'm giving it 4 stars only because it's pretty pricey for what... you get. I ordered the Cobb salad and it was delicious, but $16 for a salad is a little steep. My husband thoroughly enjoyed hispot pie and the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious. Read more

Staff was TOP NOTCH! The hostess was very prompt and kind....and our server was super friendly and nailed everything.... Our... food was good .... nothing that knocked our socks off....but nothing we were disappointed in....Prices seem inline...if not abit high and portion size was just about right. I like how they have two menus....a "pub" style menu available all day....and a"dinner" menu available after 4pm. My wife has celiac disease...and they had a menu with gluten free items online....we did notask if they had dedicated prep spaces or dedicated friers....(it seems even when we do ask most places...they just say "yes" toanswer the question and move on) The proof is in how she feels the day after...(today) Decor was very unique! All or most of itwas specific to the City of South St Paul! Some cool older items! It may not become one of our regular stops....but if my wifestates it passed the "gluten free" test we will be back at some point to try another dish! Read more
