I ordered osso buco which was very tender and flavorful. The fried calamari was dry and rubbery, one of the worst calamari I... had. The spumoni ice cream didn’t disappoint. my colleagues seemed to have enjoyed their dishes. Read more

Now this is a fine establishment. Compared to the other Italian place in South San Francisco this place is so much better for... the same price. Great ambiance. But more importantly the food quality is on or to the pricing. I had the chicken parm and it wasone of the better dishes across the board. Will definitely come back. Read more

It's a vintage Italian restarant with heavy large servings. My hubbie loved the veal. The calamari and chicken scallapini were... huge and delicious. I prefer creamy blue cheese salad dressing and not theirs. The house chardonnay and chianti weredelightful. The wait staff were effecient. Read more

Good service pretty decent food. A friend took me here cause I was feeling down. We had the veal and the prawns pasta. The... dessert was my favorite. The limoncello ice cream thing they make is so refreshing and hits the spot after a rich dinner. Thetiramisu is pretty good too. Overall I enjoyed the experience and the food. Great place great atmosphere and decent prices Read more

I started my meal with INSALATA DI CASA, it was good, but the dressing lacked that zing I expected from a Creamy Italian... dressing. For my main course I had LINGUINE CON VONGOLE & COZZE. Linguini with clams and mussels in a marinara sauce. It againlacked seasoning, had about 10 clams/mussels and should shave been finished with olive oil and fresh chopped parsley. My wifestarted with the MINESTRONE DI CASA. She took 2 bits and pushed it away. I tried it and again found it lacked seasoning. (Thisis coming from a guy who uses very little salt at home) Her main course was the New York Strip Steak. It was cooked perfectlybut truly you could get the same plate at Sizzler. Steamed carrot, broccoli & mashed potatoes. At $29 I expect much more thanSizzler level plating from an area landmark that has been there thru generations. The table was well set but the décor was soso and all the magnums of wine and copper and brass decorations were very dusty. Gordon Ramsey would have lost it in there. WhenI see this kind of house keeping it make me wonder what the back of house looks like. On my last visit here, it was great butthis one not so much. I don’t think I will be making the trek from the Sacramento area to come eat here again. My father usedto bring me here 40 years ago when I lived in SF. I hope it get’s better for all the folks that cherish it. The Martini wasexcellent! Service was excellent! Food needs improvement! Clean the front of house! Read more

Neighborhood Italian spot, good lasagna, great wine list. Go for the dining room if you're looking for white table cloth date... night Italian, or choose the bar room seating for a more casual vibe, but less people! Annnnnd the free bread is wonderful. Read more
