My boyfriend had never before tried a legit calzone. And so we ordered from Carluccio's, and while the dough of the calzone was... absolutely spot-on wonderful, there was not a dollop of ricotta to be found anywhere in the cheese calzone. So that was mildlydisappointing. But if their calzone tasted that good even without the ricotta, I imagine their pizza game is off-the-hook! Thecannoli are perfect! Smooth, creamy filling, crisp, fresh outer shell, and we were given a choice of whether or not wepreferred chocolate chips on them, which was an extra bonus. We went in this past Friday night placed an order was told 10 minutes. It was 45 minutes at the end of the wait but the food was... very worth it (hence the sign in photo). We had seen the reviews that the margarita pizza was white so we added sauce. Theyshould note that on the menu because we would have been very disappointed and. It loved it as much. LUNCH REVIEW I didn't expect to have one of the best Italian sandwiches I've ever had when I walked into Carluccio's but that's... exactly what I got. We chose this place because it was close to our B&B and we wanted to pick up sandwiches to take to thebeach. I ordered the Calabria Combo, which comes piled high with Capicola, Pepperoni, Provolone, Roasted Peppers, Red Onion,Lettuce, Tomato, and Italian Dressing. The meat was SO fresh, the vegetables were crisp, the bread soaked up all the juices soit was delicious! I also tried a bite of the chicken parm and that was one of the best chicken parms I've ever had. We wereonly in the area for a couple of days but we almost went back for a second time.
