Stopped in for lunch today and had a cup of chowder; delicious. One of the thicker-style chowders I've had on the cape. I also... ordered the fried fish sandwich (friendly fisherman) which was also very good. It was large, the sandwich had two good sizepieces of fish. I loved how hot (temperature) they served both the chowder and fish sandwich. Staff was friendly and nice. Therestaurant was busy but staff still checked on us multiple times. First time at the Cape and of course had to try the local seafood! The atmosphere of this restaurant was very chill. The food... came out SUPER fast! The clam chowder was delicious. The tuna steak was to die for! Yum! I would recommend getting there early(around 5) to put your party's name on the waiting list; as they are very busy. They send you a text when your table is ready. Wonderful place! Awesome food, pretty cool view of the beach and really great staff! Stopped in for lunch and had Madison as our... server - she was super attentive but not overbearing & she really knew the menu & offered some great suggestions. She was reallyreally kind, too!! The place was really clean and organized. Got the fish taco ? yes, it?s ONE taco but that?s all you needbecause it was HUGE and so delicious! We started off with the fried chowder - don?t skip on that - GET IT! Literally perfect.Everything on the menu was so reasonably priced too. Quality of the food was really on point!! This won?t be our last!! My kidsand husband all said that we need to return! Oh wait - I forgot to mention? you can get a frozen cocktail with YOUR FACE on it.Not kidding - ask your server. Highly Recommend!! We had such a great time here, and the food was FABULOUS! Shrimp cocktail, deep fried clam chowder, bowls of... clam chowder, and the quohog for appetizers and all of if was great. Of all the places we stopped on our east coast trip, Ithink the clam chowder here was indeed the BEST! We had a couple of whole lobsters which were HUGE and cooked perfectly. Giggleda little when a hostess brought my brother (who didn't even have lobster) a bib because she was concerned about myself and mymom's ability to not spray him with lobster ????. He had a deep fried seafood platter that did not disappoint. We didn't saveroom, but had to have desert, and wow it was also great! Read more
Out here in the Cape Cod, MA area and I was looking for a place with a great clam chowdah and lobster roll. Safe to say that... this place did not disappoint. The Skipper restaurant and Chowder house was exactly what I needed. The traditional bowl of clamchowder was definitely award winning and the lobster roll was classically prepared and tasted just as great as it looks. Servicewas great! Good food, good service, and definitely fits the Cape Cod aesthetic! Went early in the off season so we didn?t have a problem... getting a table. They don?t take reservations so I would go early in the Summer to make sure you?ll be taken care of. Read more
Drove out to Cape Cod just for the seafood and this place did not disappoint. Great views, high energy staff, lively atmosphere,... and some of the freshest seafood I?ve ever had. The lobster roll is insane. The chowder is awesome to pair it with. If you arecurious about literally anything on the menu..I?d encourage you to try it. It will be good. Highly recommended. Read more
